I need to replace the carpet on my trailer. Where is the best place to buy it and what should I use to attach it to the wood? Thanks

Mason,
Most will use trailer bunk carpet that's available from any marine supply. It's stapled on with ether stainless or monel staples.

How's the wood?

Tell us more! What's the boat? Condition? Get some pictures submitted for the diaries. There's a link in that section for the application.

Welcome to CCfan.

This is true unless you have a newer Correct Craft or Ramlin trailer (mid 80's or later), as they have bunks that are longer than the 12' bunk carpet that is commonly sold. Without buying an entire roll of carpet, your best bet in this case is a CC dealer (White Lake, etc).

The wood is ok condition I think, not really sure until I get all of the old stuff off. Its a 2005 so I'm sure it can't be too bad. Also, the heater on my boat doesn't work, being new to all of this, what is a likely problem?

Mason,
No heat or no blower?
If the blower is out, then you'll need to trace the wiring back to it's source and see if it's getting power. If it is, then the blower motor is out.

If it's no heat, trace the engine coolant lines back to the engine and tell us how they are connected to the engine.

When i press the heater button on the dash, nothing happens. Is there a different motor for the actual blower and the heater blower or is it the same one?

Mason,
Better get the volt/Ohm meter out!! There will only be one power feed to the heater. There's one blower.

Contact Ram-Lin directly. They can sell you the whole OEM carpet package that's pre-cut and everything needed for your trailer.

I believe total cost was around $65.

Just to clarify, the package and price I referenced above included bunks, side steps, and bow stop.

Again I'm saddened that I don't yet own a Correct Craft... Whitelake and CCfan make this stuff so easy.

I just bought bunk carpet by the roll eBay item #200519961418 26 oz!!! Blue Boat Trailer Bunk Carpet - 11"x50' $35

I'm looking at using left over carpet glue on top and stainless staples on the underside.
