anyone having a clambake today?, its our 3rd annual and of course at my house "sigh" I hate the drunk clean-ups....I was being my usual self last year and decided to heat up the garage...fired up the burner on the rented steamer and about 15 minutes later I see a pool of aluminum dripping by the burner...no i didnt put water in it because i wanted it to radiate heat for a while....needless to say 156.00 dollar f-up, but the good thing is i got to keep the set-up and tigged a big patch in the bottem of the pot.

Considering the melting point of most aluminum's is around 1200 F, I'd say you really wanted to get that garage warmed up!! You did put water in it this year correct??

Bruce, bay lobster fly's them in from the east coast somewhere "middlenecks"
Im the brunt of the jokes every year because of the pan and falling backwards on the next door neighbors wheelchair. not to often that you have a bad time in my neighborhood. the clams from Lake erie are known as Zebra mussels, not eatable...there are only 2 things I eat from that lake, Walleye and Perch

on the hangover scale, about an 8, not so bad, but clean up will be another adventure, many beers leftover and awaiting my arrival
