Eric, Until we stop creating new diseases the pharmaceuticals companies will never stop coming up with drugs for them.

Here's a few new ones I've seen pop up.

Restless leg syndrome?

Cronic dry eyes,

Mumnesia-Sparked by hormonal changes, mind-numbing tiredness and the relentless responsibilities of caring for ababy

Tanorexia- Doctors came up with the term after becoming alarmed by the number of youngsters risking skin cancer to chase the perfect skin color.

Athletia Nervosa- Sufferers become addicted to exercising and the natural chemical endorphin high they get after working out

Semi-somnia- And when our heads do finally hit the pillow, we're too stressed out to switch off and go to sleep, according to sleep expert Dr Neil Stanley. Dr Stanley said: "A huge number of people are, often without realising it, battling with persistent low-grade exhaustion due to a combination of lack of sleep or poor quality sleep.

Cyberchondria- a rise in patients who scare themselves half to death by reading up on diseases and conditions then become convinced they have a serious illness.

Technoholic- Professor Kakabadse said: "It's addiction to portable technology, which you take with you practically to bed, the cinema or a dinner party.

Leisure sickness syndrome- This is what happens when you work too hard. Adrenalin boosts triggered by stress keep you going all week at work but when you reach the weekend or holidays, your immune system collapses and you get ill

Careful with that one. I have restless leg syndrome and would not wish it on anyone. I remember being 5 YO and my mom complaining that i would not stop moving my legs at a drive in movie. I would tell people I had that strange energy feeling in my legs. They would look at me wierd. I just assumed everyone had it. It was mostly an annoyance till about 5 years ago when the symptoms began increasing in freguency and intensity. It is hard to describe and I hear it described differently by some, but in my case itfeels like a humming energy building up in my calf muscles. It builds in intensity for about 45 seconds till I finally have to move the muscle, and then it breaks the cycle and stops... for about 3 seconds and then it starts over again. Usully it will wake me about an hour after I go to sleep, and an episode will last 90 to 120 minutes. Sometimes it starts while I am sitting watching TV. As for the impact imagine being a working college student averaging about 4.5 hours of sleep a night ( as I waa for the last two years) and then being kept awake for 1.5 hours in the middle of your 4.5 hour sleep opportunity. Is that the guy you want driving next to you on the freeway? There also is a drive you crazy physical discomfort. I could truly see this lead to a sleep deprived suicide episode if it could not be controlled. I take an MS med. I have tried a few others. All have undesirable side effects but the side effects are not as bad as not sleeping, so I take the drugs. Most lose their effectiveness over time. Restless leg syndrome sounds like a crock but I can tell you it is very real and very sucky. I sometimes foolishly think I understand nearly everything , but the truth is we should not belittle what we
cannot possibly understand.

Within two years of his administration, first the White House Chief of Staff resigns and now the National Security Advisor to Obama resigns today.

It is interesting to see some key people resigning. It is also interesting to see the posturing that is going on right now. Many democrats that really supported Obama 2 years ago are distancing themselves from him now. I wonder how they will act once re-elected, if they get re-elected.

No offense taken, and I agree with your point. Restless leg syndrome is a stupid @$$ name for a malady. Very few people know I have this problem including my 17 year old. I usually suffer in silence, If this is common it explains why awareness is low and people think its made up. I hear it affect 3 or 4 % of the population to some degree. I never consulted a Dr. until it was a 3-4 night a week thing. I am sure obama care will cure it .

There was a rumor (via TV) that for his second run Biden was out and Hillary was going to be his (Obama's) #2. Next time around Hillary won't need Obama, she could win it all herself. That is unless the Teapublicans can find a good canidate.

Lets get through the mid terms first. But, as things sit now any ticket with Obama on top will have a big hill to climb.

who are the pubby's going to throw at us? as you can see i get about 5 hours of sleep a night, and really have lost all sense of hope and faith in both parties, every time you turn around you here of another scandel another 10 million dollar theft, a guy who bilks billions from innocent honest investers, large firms creating synthetic bonds backed by federal money. I didnt come from money and dont know what i would do if i was in their position, my thoughts everyday when i get up are "how am i going to feed my family?, how am i going to make the house payment? you chisel a meager living out of life and we put these guys in charge and they dont have the same worries, money and power only intensifies the need to have more money and more power its human nature,
these guys are smart and robbed the country for 40% of its wealth and knew exactly what was going to happen, they got richer we got poorer.
I lost all faith in the political system to a point where it really sickens me, its not all black and white as we are told to believe and as I said before im not a conspiracist, the average person believes either one side or the other because they look to the government in trust on what it was built upon. every morning I see political adds on the tube, he's honest he has integrity, she's honest she has integrity on and on and on. and then the dirt starts coming out, she has Illegals working for her, he cheated on his wife, he knocked up a 16 year old, these are the f-wads running our government, these arnt priests or rabbis that decided one day to run for office, these are people that want to get in power and sway decisions, they want more money, more power, thats it. we are collateral, the people they steal from.
maybe im bias in a sense but god damn maybe it is time for Hillary

This will be the end liberalism. I think people finally seen the so called "Change", with high end big progressive movements and sick and tired of it. Time for my party to stand up, and what the U.S Constitution and Declaration of Independence is all about. See you Democrats later...

After we win the house and senate back, the focus will be to "IMPEACH" him and get him out.
The dumbass snuck a extra tax in on the healthcare bill, if you sell your house after 2013, add 3.9 to it... Bastard!!

Found this on the internet. I hoped it was bogus

The bill is HR-4646
introduced by US Rep Peter deFazio D-Oregon and US Senator Tom
Harkin D-Iowa. It is now in committee and will probably not be brought
out until after the Nov. elections.

Suggest that you pass this along and also to your state senator and

representative and US Congressman and Senators.

One percent transaction tax is proposed

President Obama's finance team is recommending a transaction tax. His plan

is to sneak it in after the November election to keep it under the radar. This

is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution i. e. Banks, Credit

Unions, etc.. Any deposit you make, or move around within your account, i. e.

transfer to, will have a 1% tax charged. If your pay check or your social

Security or whatever is direct deposit, 1% tax charged. If you hand carry a

check in to deposit, 1% tax charged, If you take cash in to deposit, 1% tax

charged. This is from the man who promised that if you make under $250,000

per year, you will not see one penny of new tax. Keep your eyes and ears

open, you will be amazed at what you learn.

Some will say aw it's just 1%... remember once the tax is there they can raise

it at will.

THis is what a google search turned up.

The following summary was written by the Congressional Research Service, a well-respected nonpartisan arm of the Library of Congress. GovTrack did not write and has no control over these summaries.

2/23/2010--Introduced.
Debt Free America Act - States as purposes of this Act the raising of sufficient revenue from a fee on transactions to eliminate the national debt within seven years and the phasing out of the individual income tax. Amends the Internal Revenue Code to impose a 1% fee, offset by a corresponding nonrefundable income tax credit, on transactions that use a payment instrument, including any check, cash, credit card, transfer of stock, bonds, or other financial instrument. Defines "transaction" to include retail and wholesale sales, purchases of intermediate goods, and financial and intangible transactions. Establishes in the legislative branch the Bipartisan Task Force for Responsible Fiscal Action to review the fiscal imbalance of the federal government and make recommendations to improve such imbalance. Provides for expedited consideration by Congress of Task Force recommendations. Repeals after 2017 the individual income tax, refundable and nonrefundable personal tax credits, and the alternative minimum tax (AMT) on individuals. Directs the Secretary of the Treasury to: (1) prioritize the repayment of the national debt to protect the fiscal stability of the United States; and (2) study and report to Congress on the implementation of this Act.

For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

That's an interesting one to dig deeper into. It's not necessarily a National Sales Tax, but it does seem of the flat tax variety. It seems odd that this would be proposed by the democratic side of the aisle.

I'm not saying it's odd for the democrats to propose a new tax, but it is odd they are proposing something that is more regressive. Usually they propose more progressive tax schemes.

True, it could change, but the way the summary reads it taxes everyone "equally". Democrats aren't known for implementing that sort of tax scheme, they usually propose the opposite.

Hollywood...they only have cures for the opposite disease of yours, but maybe should should sign up for a medical study so they can make sure they better understand your particular issue. I have a feeling it would be a popular study and you might want to sign up early to get into it.

I think this is a way progreesive tax. A poor person can take the one percent tax when they cash their check or even get paid in cash paying nothing. They can then use cash for rent, groceries or anything else.

Imagine how this will effect the middle income and rich in the interim. I sell my cabin for 165000, they tax the net @ 18% in my case taxes would be about 18,000 (pissed already), they would get 1% of the sales check or $1,650. Now I move my profits into an interst earning account, they net 1% of one hundred thousand or $1000, Now as I pay bills online or use almost any other way they will collect another $1000
Instead of $18,000, they have collected 21,650. their 1% tax generated 23% more collections from my side of this transaction alone. Now remember , everyone that recieved this money from me also was taxed 1%,checks get dispersed for closing costs, mortgage payoff and profit neting another 1% or 1,650, and so on.... very insidious.

How will this affect society. Greater reliance on cash. Businesses increasing cash transactions, more robberies looking for cash. Increased muggings cause eveyone carries cash again. Black market economies. Banks devestated. Investing greatly effected, especially short term trading. What are the chances of anyone selling property between now and 2017? Why is there not a "pulling my hair out " emoticon?

Eric, if a commoner like yourself didn't/doesn't see big tax breaks under GW's tax cuts, then you had the wrong guy doing your taxes.

I'm waiting for them to figure out how to tax internet commerce.
