Will say it's been raining this week. Perhaps an early/long winter for use here. We shall see. Of course, a long winter means it will rain. Not like the water will be frozen over or anything.

Come on out. If you don't make it out before year end, perhaps March or early April as a kickoff before your own seasons begin.

Nice Tumbles. Looks great! That is some very muddy water, is that typical spring river water, or does it always carry that much silt?

Seb: Great video and good footing. Couple comments for what it is worth:

- On your start, you are leaving your feet on the rope too long, then suddenly slamming them on the water. Get your feet off the rope a bit sooner, establish a smooth controlled butt glide, THEN plant your feet, slowly and evenly. That will help your start.

-On your one foots: First, you are heel heavy and plowing hard going into the one foot. Your shoulders and upper body go so far back, when you lift the foot, your drive the foot in the water forward, not down. Bottom line is you fight the pull of the boat, and plow the foot on the water. Second, to compensate for the plow, you are pulling the handle in with your arms.

Try thinking about the one-foot like this. Get your shoulders and your body OVER your knees; get your knees over your feet. That will put all the weight over your feet. Keep your arms long and relaxed. DO NOT PULL ON THE HANDLE! Lean onto the foot you want to ride on. Lean further. Lean FURTHER, so all (or most of the weight) is transfered onto the foot. Check to make sure your shoulders are still forward, weight pushing DOWN on the foot on the water. Lift the foot up. Do not bend the knee. Ride it!   Smile! Now set the foot down, while still leaning, and the foot touches the water, transfer the weight down onto the foot.

The biggest challenge for you will be NOT leaning back, and not pulling. You need to correct this or you will really struggle with the toe-hold.

nice job, seb. good to see things have warmed up there in BA, enough to get out of the dry suit. We are at the tipping point in California, where winter rules are in effect soon. The nights have turned cold, and we are losing (lost) our warm days. I went out last week when it was still warm. Took 3 hard falls. Out of synch that day. Will likely go out friday. I will let you know if we are in drysuits.

FYI: on the one foot, still looks like you are pulling in with the arms. You are doing that to compensate for your shoulders dropping back. I know, because I used to do it too. Until you can glide on the one foot, that toe-hold you want so bad will be far off. Something to think about....
