why are all of behindpropeller's posts blank? Did I miss something?
I run Vr1 40wt in my 82 and 95SN change every 50hrs....and worry about other things. Ignorance is bliss! |

I have been running Mobil 1 15w50 for the past 7 years in my 1989 SN2001. I have never had a problem. But, after reading all these posts I think I am going to change up to VR1 or Rotella. I noticed most of you are staying away from the straight 50w and going with either 20w50, 15w40, or straight 40w. My manual in my 97 super sport calls for 50w. Why isn't anyone running the straight 50W? Has there been better data that has come out about these oils in the past 13yrs?
For the VR1, I believe most of you are talking about the silver bottle and not the black (not street legal)' is this correct? Thanks for input, more confused than ever about the oil I need in EFI GT40 |
