I have a 1987 Nautique 2001. Is the boom a straight pylon mount.

Not exactly sure what you mean, but there is a mounting plate that is attached directly to the pylon. The mounting plate is currently attached to a tapered pylon but looks as if nylon pieces can be removed to mount to a non-tapered pylon. I have pictures on Craigs List. If you go to the Tampa Bay area, goto the boats section and do a search on Barefoot Boom. It should pop up, there are 4 pictures.
