Garage door, tools, instant boat shop.
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Kee, are you suggesting hydroponics? I had a buddy one time, since has passed, killed on his honeymoon night, hit the side of a barge with a boat, but, there always was a strange odor in his house, he had a 165 lb Great Dane, needless to say that bit me close to the nads, he took me into his basement and there was isle room only, it was a hydro garden with about 500 plants....i was always curious to where he got his money...Ironically, or chronically lol he was afraid to death, that i was going to sue him for the dog bite..obviously i never would

So far, here's what I have planned for the basement:

Drop ceiling
Carpeting
Tile entry way
Wall mounted flat screen w/sound system

The dry wall is already installed and just needs paint. I'm looking to get somewhat creative. I've considered the transom of a Correct Craft hull, but I sort of feel bad about cutting apart a boat.

I'm searching for a teak platform to make a small coffee table. Four legs and it's good to go. I think a boating/skiing theme would be kind of cool and creative. We'll see how it goes. My workshop was just completed yesterday, so one step at a time. If anyone has any photos of their basements for some ideas, send them along.

Ken

Get one of those round "soft tub" hot tubs and get some graphics to make it look like a tube. Shot ski for the nautique bar. Use the interior seating from the sawn boat for lounge seating. Glas table top on engine box.

Not a bad idea, John! I can start growing grapes and make my own blend. Many possibilities. I'd feel awful gutting out an entire boat. I'm surfing CCF and Ebay for Correct Craft parts. A Nautique steering wheel/clock would be kind of cool.

Inexpensive old wood skis off of Ebay or garage sales to hang on the wall
Always old CC brochures and ads on ebay to frame and hang on wall
Barts has cool vintage signs you can customize with your home lake name that I plan to get in the near future.

Judging by that snowthrower I'd say you don't have a chance. You might as well let Patricia use it as a closet.

LOL, you like my electric snow shovel? That's to clear a spot for the pugs to do there business.

I got this 9HP Craftsman snow blower, which has been racking up the hours this year.

Alright, guys, "mantown" is almost done. Here's a list of what's been completed:

Carpeting
Drop Ceiling with recessed lighting
Paint - Benjamin Moore Colonial Collection
Tile at entry-way
Wall w/door installed for storage area
Workshop built
Three piece sectional couch
50" plasma w/surround sound system / sub woofer
Window treatment
Pellet burning stove - on delivery
Photography studio

NOW.....

I need a swim platform. Looking for either a nice vintage teak platform or will purchase a later model Nautique 196. My budget is $300 depending on year and condition. I want to put four legs on it. It will be our coffee table that sits between the couch and TV.

I have a section of the downstairs dedicated to Correct Craft. I have graphics, photos and a 13X13 prop to make this area look cool. A large photo of the Correct Craft Fan boat is going up.

Photos to be posted soon. Any other thoughts or suggestions? I might be searching for random Correct Craft stuff soon.
