How easily should the prop spin on my '75 ski nautique by hand? It takes some effort to spin mine and it will not continue to spin after I stop spinning it. And yes, my tranny is in neutral. Is this normal or should it be easy to spin?

It should spin easily with 1 finger. Sounds like you need to do an alignment.

Should my '97 SN also turn with one finger?

Which finger should I use to obtain the optimum spin?

Is there a difference between a one, two or three finger spin?

Shawn,
Yes, no matter what finger the DR. wants to use, it's the same.

should the prop continue to spin after you take your hand off it?

Stu,
No, not much. Even with some soap/water lubricating the cutlass bearing, there's always some drag. Also, you get drag from a properly adjusted packing gland.
