Jeff, I wouldn't worry about it to much. I never winterized mine per say down here in Atlanta but do take the time and drain water out of the pump, exhaust manifolds, and block if we are going to get below freezing temps (for the highs mind you) for days. I keep mine in the garage so I never worry about it. In fact I never drained the water out of anything till this past week and that was because I knew the water had been sitting there since december and had allot of sediment in there so I pulled the plugs.

If yours is outside under cover or in a barn you should at least drain the forementioned if the temps are gonna get below freezing. I wouldn't worry about fogging the cylinders etc.

Seriously doubt you will have a problem, but draining it takes ten minutes and removes all doubt. With the goofy weather we have had the last 2-3 years, I would put nothing past old man winter. He is a cruel bastard.

Jeff, I live in Raleigh, NC and was getting ready to de-winterize mine.
I had a look at accuweather.com and looks like lows will be in the mid
40s for the next 2 weeks in this area.
History is mid 30s for this time and going up.
I would do as Morfoot said and just drain the exhaust manifolds and block and pump. Those are easy access plugs.

Ya got that right Mikey! freaking mid 70's last week and highs in the low 50's 3 days later. I had to turn the freaking heat back on.

I live in Minnesota, they were predicting a foot of snow for this Tuesday, I just shoveled the ice rink and flooded it with a new coat for an event this weekend. Think I will ever get to de-winterise?
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.
