No! but I just perused Evil-Bay and found over 300 Tachometers. some nice stuff for less then $50.00 even saw a Gaffrig Tach for $70.00 (keeping an eye on that one).
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a complete Faria whiteface setup on Evil-bay for a project here, total cost was $145 with shipping, Tach, Speedo, Fuel,water temp, oil pressure, hour meter, my local marine parts house had the volt meter had to pay an extra $16 for it.

Mine is almost directly below the motor, slightly left of center, if I remember correctly. My marina launches it in 6 days, if you can wait until Tuesday I'll post pics.

I have a pdf copy of the instructions that come with the kit. It includes instructions about where to put the paddle wheel. I can email if you like.

Consider this- buy PerfectPass Stargazer. No paddlewheel hole. GPS speed control AND RPM. Speed control is THE best money you could put into a newer boat. I'm consistently surprised with how many people don't have it yet. Same pull, every time. No arguments after falls or completed slalom passes. Steady as she goes for trick.

From what I understand, moisture is what kills the Teleflex gauges. Mine have not seen a drop of water or dampness since I've had the boat, and they were last swapped in July 2003. So, 8 years and they still work. I have a brand new backup set waiting in the wings, but I still haven't had to use them. My dad has never understood how I have a boat that "can't get wet". "It's a boat, it's supposed to get wet". Sorry dad, not this boat!

There is a guy who's handle is "richard" on PN who has repaired the main boards on these gauges, so it can be done. You can crack em' open and re-solder them apparently. Dig around for his posts on that. He always has crazy problems and fixes since he boats in saltwater, in Japan or something.

I never, ever, ever use the tach or speedo. The boat is either idling, or under way with a skier with PP engaged. In any other instance I'm ONLY looking at PP RPM and speed.

I realize that PP is expensive but I'm just throwing it out there as an alternative to jacking with the gauges, putting the Bayliner-esque replacement Farias in, only to then get PP anyway down the line.

Worth every dime. As a bonus, it gets time from the satellites so you always have a clock with the right time on it. It's the little things. It's also an hour meter. You set the initial hours on it and it keeps track from then on. 'Cause you'll need one of those now too :)

One problem I see with PP Stargazer for mdvalant is his location. My guess is that he frequents the Mississippi River, equating to GPS speed issues related to the current. Are you on a lake, or skiing the Mighty Mississippi River?

If it's a river application, you want the paddlewheel...whether for PP or your Faria gauges. You can have PP supply software so the speed input comes from the paddlewheel in a current, and from the GPS when current isn't an issue. They don't advertise this option as far as I know, but they assured me they have the software available.

We own these boats because they are the best! Things like this shouldn't happen. Yea yea, some people made bad decisions and they wanted to be cutting edge I get that, but seriously...I've seen bayliners with gauges that are more reliable :)

Can't forget the flaw in the early 1990 boats though. Ours does it. Open up the observer gull wing seat and crush the glove box lid!

We ordered the Faria replacements from white lake. Came in yesterday and dropped the boat off at our marina last night. Should be done by the weekend!

How are water levels? Steve Workman informed me that they canceled the Muscatine Boat show since water levels are so high. Pretty crazy stuff, was looking forward to maybe driving out for the day.

We got the newest river update today, looks like 65 feet at Natchez Miss.That puts it 5 feet above the great flood of 1927, our levee system here "should handle" the extra water donated to us from our northern states.
We do still have two flood control structures south of us. Bonne Carre floodway and Morganza Spillway will be used to take some of the pressure off our levee's here , still 250 river miles to The Gulf.............. 2.1 million cubic feet per second is flowing past Natchez at this level, and will only increase till May 21...
