Everyone have a safe, enjoyable weekend and hopefully spend it in a boat. (CC of course! } I've taken two extra days off and will be heading up north tomorrow morning at probably around 4:30 to beat the traffic. I'll be getting the boats ready for summer. The water is WAY up this year so it's certainly not like last year when there wasn't enough to get the boats out of the boat house!

Tomorrow almost was delayed! Wednesday morning the truck wouldn't start. I ended up having to take a tow truck to work with my truck on the back end of it!! The mechanic I like and use is within walking distance of work. Wouldn't you know it - he was on vacation, but did back this morning and was able to look at it and fix the problem. One glow plug relay and while he was at it put in a set of glow plugs - 3 were burnt out but that's expected with 230K miles on them.

Keep those boats running!!!

Hello Pete,
I hope you as well have a great memorial day weekend. I wish I wuz spending mine in my CC. Early saturday morning, I have to go get mine and I am taking to get a brand new 4160 on her.Tired of the orginal being rebuilt over and over. I will get it back next weekend, and believe me,the boat will go straight in the water.

Sorry to hear about your journey this yesterday. It seems it is always something. Anyways, be safe Pete and hope you have a good one.

Make em purr this weekend boys... Have a great weekend and be safe.

Happy Holiday weekend to all. My truck is getting a new/ used motor this weekend. No towing the boat for me . Trading the motor with 188k miles and very little oil pressure for one with 86k miles. Should work a little better, and get me ready for the trip to green lake!
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Being how this weekend is opening season for tourists we skiied some Friday after school. We already had to contend with the QE2 pulling a tube, and some stunt riders on big ass pwc's. We will go out this morning for a set or two, and a trip visiting relatives in NY. We should be back before the waves settle on Monday.

Since my season started back in January, I pulled her out of the dock and up to the house for the holiday weekend detail. I'll also be adding some batteries for the stereo and cleaning up the wiring a bit. Looking forward to Monday when I can wave goodbye to the idiots as they leave. We're excepting 15 to 20 mph winds all weekend so I'm not missing a thing and that's supposed to be down to less than 10 mph Tuesday and stay that way through next week.

If your getting out, have fun and stay safe.

As I have to work Sunday night (and I'm sure we'll be very busy) I will spend Monday working on getting one of my motors back in it's cradle.

I would like to remind everyone what Memorial Day is really about.
I hope everyone takes a moment of silence to honor our brave soldiers who have given the ultimate sacrifice for God and country.

I hear ya brother. It's so much more than just hot dogs, hamburgers and fun boats. We must never forget why we can enjoy all of this and many other freedoms that are taken for granted every single day.

Thanks Paul for your years of service as well.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend everyone!

First off a salute to all the great men, women, and children who have given so much for us to enjoy the way of life we live.

It has been a great weekend! Hit the lake today with Marty Mabe and the Purple Rain, and we brought the Skier. Took a few pulls behind the 93 and even took it for a drive! As usual Oak Hollow proved to be relaxed and un-crowded.   Wore the little one out! Looking forward to another day on the water tomorrow.

I hear you. I think I put a whole .1 hours on the boat this weekend. Moved it over 1 lift Friday afternoon then to the ramp Monday morning. I put my boat away for summer.

I've never seen the lake so crazy. I think Michigan's spring happened around 3:00 am Monday morning. Yesterdays 90 degree weather brought everyone out of hibernation. BFN ran good. Did some footin'. Kids did some wake skiing behind the BFN and the SeaDoos. At 2:00 it was Toon time. Ride around the lake on the pontoon, cooler full of Buds, Mikes, and Mojo's, and laugh at the newbies.
Play hard, life's not a trial run.

the weather wasn't so good this year, so I taught the girls how to shoot...
