I feel stupid asking this question, but I just recently bought my first Ski Nautique. Unable to afford a boat lift, my uncle was nice enough to allow me to use his hoist lift in the boat house which was used for his scarab. Im unsure if the weight of the engine being in the center would be a problem. Any thoughts?

Brian,
It's not a problem at all and infact is easier on the lift. If you think about the mid engine and the weight being there, it's distributed more equally bow to stern. If you are referring to the boat, it's not a problem ether. That's what the lifting rings are for. Boats have been hung for well over 100 years long before the lift and still are. All of mine are hung in the boat house. |

To add to what Pete said. On a conventional boat lift the Ski Nautique would be centered on the lift whereas the Scarab would be pulled up foward until the outdrives were close to the lift which would help balance the weight.
