Hey guys,
A little late in posting this, but before going on the last summer fling Labor Day weekend, I came into the store on my last delivery at CarQuest--noticed an SUV out in the parking lot with a pair of old wooden skiis on the luggage rack. Get inside, some guy wearing a Correct Craft T-Shirt, I said something about the skiis while putting my money away, and he said Yep- Hollywood would like those skiis! Then he stuck his hand out and said-- Hi Marty- Larry Hineline here!
Man, was I shocked! All the way from Massachusetts, just to see me !
Says, he thought he'd stop by on his way to Seven Oaks, in Pinehurst about an hour away from High Point- his Lake House.

We had a good conversation, and he had to go as well as I.
Again--MAN! What great people we have in our little CCFan(mily)

Thanks for the surprise visit Larry- sorry we couldn't have spent more time talking- but like you said-- Give it another couple of years or so, and we'll be talking and having a 'Mini' at the LakeHouse!

Again-Great talking to ya, and like I said- If I hadn't lived on the North End of town- we'd definitly went back to the house and maybe to the Lake also.
Thanks again, and let me know next time and we'll get together!

Marty,

The pleasure was all mine. Wish we could have had a little more time to tip a cold one, see your boats, test out your boats, or meet down at my place for an afternoon on the water. But those things are all ahead, and hopefully in a couple months, not a couple years. Rest of the weekend was a whirlwind. I was on the water by 2 that afternoon, my son and I each got a run in, had the lake to ourselves. Very nice. Another set Saturday morning before breakfast. Sunday, up early to meet some folks across the lake for a barefoot session, followed by a ski run behind another guys relatively new Mastercraft. Downside of that was it was my son's first slalom run behind something better than my Tique (other than Brad's 86) and, as I anticipated, now he expects me to get a real boat (not real as in mastercraft, but real as in no wake to contend with) Was a great, but way too short, weekend in NC. I'll let you know when I am in town for more than a few days.

I didn't mention this on here a few weeks ago, but I was down there for a week in mid August, too. Some new boats on the lake. Its a small lake with a bunch of retirees on it so its 90% tooners. In the past there was my Tique, an Excel and a buddy's 96 SN on the lake and a couple other newer CCs that trailered in (a 90s BFN and a couple other 90s SNs). New boats this year included a brown 79 Tique, an 86 2001 the guy bought up in MD off an ad on this site, and a Mustang 17. And after I left, my son said he saw another red tique and another 2001. Cool to have all the old CCs on the little lake. My son said a bunch of the CCs were all gathered around the island out front a few weeks ago. Wish I hadnt missed that....impromptu mini.

John, don't worry, your day will come and I will be showing up on your doorstep. Looking forward to it.
