Get any video?

We got down there then realized the video cam was dead and I forgot the charger. We did take some video and photos with the Iphones. I'll try to post those. Honestly I was focussed more on listening to him in the boat coach others more than I was concerned about video as alot of what he was saying could apply to me. Plus I'm sure no one cares to watch me ski, but would rather see Andre. We did help Chuck out with some video shots for Andre's next freestyle video using the GOPRO's. I;ll try to post some photos / videos shortly. Andre is a great instructor, he really helped me with my back deep on my feet and cleaned it up. I had been doing it dirty on shoe skis prior and seldom on my feet.

All-
For what it is worth, the new BI Iron suit has arrived and been tested. What a tremendous difference than the 4 year old Eagle suit. I suspect that after 4 years and many deep's things get a bit soft-
I highly recommend the IRON suit.

Good news is when you catch a toe you will have zero time to actually realize you are falling. After you learn how to do it though it is one of the greatest natural highs you will ever have.

It must take a good sales pitch to convince someone to climb to the top of a barefoot pyramid in water like that. Yikes

HW - Great Pics, you guys do some incredible skiing.

So made it out for a run at lunch today, the skiing felt absolutely horrible. One of the guys did shoot some video, but you really can't see much. Just felt like I was sinking all the time. At any rate about all you can see here is my posture. If you look closely you can see I am sucking a ton of water, I wonder if it was just to much in the chine spray. I don't know, open to thoughts...

steve, u are definetely sucking the boat spray, the handle seems to be longer than the usual 5´ line, that is probably the reason you are getting all that water...

doesn´t look like you r on ur sport!!

awesome pics HW....11 and a pyramid...wow. That was behind one boat? All step-offs? Girl on top of the pryamid? Talked our son Dennis into taking that ride when he was about 12. Didn't really know how to climb but made it. My brother and a very good footer from our club named Dale Good took him for the ride.
Like the 'cut-off' shots. Thats the way we used to do it before fancy suits...right Larry?
Heard Windy City boys took a road trip south of the Mason-Dixon line...no pics?

put a couple extra loops in the handle, that's definitely chine spray

any skiing is good skiing, there will be plenty set backs

Steve: Maybe chine spray, but unlikely blasting your face. What speed were you at? looks slow... Your posture looks defensive, and that might be due to the conditions. Notice your arms are pulled in; that will drive your feet forward and make you plow, thus creating spray. Likely a combination of all the above, plus wind, id getting in your face.

Keep skiing.

I have been skiing like a madman over here, working the front one foot wakes, backwards behind the boat, and trying to cross the wake backwards. In California, it is prime-time. Weather very warm, super low wind!!!

Steve you look a long way back, level with the rear locker? Lucky you are not behind a SN2001 the chine spray would be head high back there.

The water does not look the best either. Is that behind your Sport?

Looking forward to getting out on the water soon. Like Kapla mentioned in the southern hemisphere the air temps are up but the water is still cool.
If you're going through hell, keep going

So you are all correct, that was NOT my Sport, that was my buddies Malibu - a nice boat, but because of the windshield coming back so far he has one of those contour booms that puts the boom back about mid dog house. It also seems to be a lot shorter which puts you a lot closer to the boom. ( I can't imagine that position on a 2001, Lewy!).

That run was also slow, about 35 mph, but playing with the speed the rest of the day, didn't seem to make much of a difference. I felt like I was plowing all day long.

The water conditions were very spotty, but it was very windy and because of the rules on the lake, you really can't hug a shoreline, so there was some pretty significant chop. I am leaning to this being the major contributing factor. Even long line was tough, but a better run then on the boom. As I think about those runs, as soon as I got into the chop, running down wind I felt like the boat was slowing down, i.e. I was sinking.

Got to get back out there soon. Oh and the water up here in WI is cooling down quick...
