Kirk,
What are they complaining about? Is the lift in compliance with the agency that controls in water structures?

thought so. was looking for clues and thought that house was in all the pics.

can't tell you how cool I think it is about how long your family has been enjoying that same spot.

your Dad must have been one sporty dude on the river with that boat.

Hey Doc, I have a Hewitt cantilevered unit. It's the heavier duty 3600 lb unit, and it does a fine job for my '99 Sport Naut. It was modified to electric before I bought it, and I have since put a SS cable on it as well as a canopy, and raised carpeted alum. bunks. It's a narrow-beam lift that Hewitt made a bunch of years ago, so it's nice and compact and its great when the water starts to drop late in the season.

It's held up well having been in the water continuously for 8 years or so, including the winters. I don't think you can go wrong with one.

Shorestation lifts, as others have mentioned, are also a good choice. Keep in mind that with either of these types of lifts, you need to elevate the load bunks so you don't have to sweat the shaft/prop getting friendly with the aft beam.

Good luck.

Man, I would LOVE one of these types of drive-on docks. They look to be SOP for small-water-craft nowadays. What kind of numbers are we talking? I have the '99 Sport Naut. And would they be compatible with my existing canopy?

Thanks,

Ultra
