In reading a post of Waterdog's I had a thought I would like to offer here. I would be a pleasurable honor to see photos of and read posts of (C.C.Fan) sight members and there family members who have and are serving in our Armed Forces.
For Example: MY FATHER: Ret. Maj. Billy J Bowling United States Army Aviation 1951-1981 |

My son Jimmy, now a Captain USMC, with his wife Jesse. They spent three years in Iwakuni, Japan. Now in Monterey, Ca. He is currently enrolled in the Naval Postgraduate School.
Jimmy proposed to Jesse on our boat back in the summer of 2007. |

BJ, thanks for sharing, weren't the Helicopter scenes in "Apocalypse Now" with the Ride of the Valkyries playing, Air Cavalry also??
That and the water skiing were a couple of my favorite scenes in that film. |

Quinner, Col. Kilgore was supposed to be an Air Cav Brigade Commander. The crossed sabres are Air Cav birds. One of my favorite lines in the movie.... "Charlie don't surf!"
