I lost my manual in a recent move and need to repack the prop shaft. The boat is a 1989 barefoot nautique 2001. what is the correct size and number of rings. Any trouble ahead? Thanks for your help.

My best guess would be 4-5 rings of 3/16. The packages are only $9 at the store buy 3/16 and 1/4 and returnm the one you don't use.
