Just back from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert guys!! GREAT SHOW again this year! For the past 3 years, it's been so big here in Greensboro,NC-- they have a 4 pm show and then an 8 pm show. Been taking in the 4 pm show.
This year to the right of the stage about 10 feet from the corner, and about 40 feet from the middle of the stage! |

We want to take our kids to see TSO. We'll probably plan it in the next couple years. I think they're both old enough now to appreciate it.

They play new years almost every year downtown Cleveland and I've known people who sub in with them but I've never seen it live. Looks like sweet tickets Marty!

I love TSO!! They put on a great show! I’ve seen them 5 times over the last 7 years. One of the best live acts I’ve seen!
My brother is a bigger TSO fan... He's liked them since they were a metal band called Savatage. For those that don’t know, Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24) , the instrumental track TSO is best known for, was originally on Savatage's Dead Winter Dead CD. I believe it was John Oliva from the band said that they sent out “Christmas Eve(Sarajevo 12/24) by Savatage” as a single to about 100 radio stations around the country and no one would play it. They sent out the song again to the same stations, but change it to “…by Trans-Siberian Orchestra” and just about all the stations played it. At one of the shows we were at a few years ago the guy singing “Old City Bar” stepped onto the small platform at the front of the stage and it began to tip forward. It would have gone right over, but a guy in the front row caught the platform and held it while he finished the song. When the song was done the road crew quickly fixed the platform and the singer gave the guy in the front row a high-five. At the end of the show that night they gave the guy a guitar. Cool memento! We missed them this year, but here are some shots from last years show. (These were my mother-in-law's free tickets from Mohegan Sun.) I wish they'd play the DCU centre again. A friend of ours does event security there and he always got us great seats for the TSO shows. Kyle |

Yeap-- Got 3 of the SAVATAGE CD's.
Also a cool thing about Christmas Eve(Sarajevo) They sent the CD's out to our station 107.5 KZL, Murphy In The Morning Show played it--and it got a Huge Response around here. He got in touch with Paul O'Neill , he came to the radio station along with Chris Caffery, Jeff Plate- the Drummer , they did a little show for a few listeners that I got to be invited to, and when the single went Platinum from Murphy's airplay-- they brought the Framed Platinum Single back to the radio station and presented it to them!! They play so much they have an East Coast and West Coast Band. The local symphony sits in and plays with them at each event. I kinda want to see them with a bigger symphony and the children's choir. Been going for 7 straight years here in G'Boro! |
