I know you guys like to solve problems & this one had me going.
We have an old CRT TV in the bedroom & like to watch local Fox news when we are retiring for the evening. About 3 weeks ago the sound became distorted. Bugged me, very irritating. No other channel does this, only Fox. I get the other old TV, same thing, only Fox. The new HD TV (digital) in the living room does not have this problem. I call the cable company, takes them a week to show up. The guy says he can 'kinda' hear the problem, but his signal meter does not show any difference between Fox & other channels. He replaces the splitter & some connectors, no change. I haul the old TV to the basement & plug the incoming cable direct, same thing. He climbs the pole, no problem there. He says, it's your TV. I said I want to bring my TV to the central office & see it it does it there. He said, well, he can bring a 'certified TV' from our shop to test you cable. He comes back an hour later with good news. They had the gain turned up too high at their central mixing panel, on Fox analog signal. Problem solved. I apparently was the only one who complained. Moral of the story is to be persistent - there is a root cause to every odd problem. |

I would bet Government intereference. They do not like Fox. Sometimes just when the report is suppose to tell us some juicy tidbit of news I loose sound for a few seconds and then it's fine again. I'm sure it's not my set. The closer we get to elections the worse it will get.

Well Chris... Some will agree with me and some that dont. But Fox does not like the far left wing democrats. They seem to report more on the conservative side which I personally like because they take true facts and report it as is.. CNN and MSNBC are huge supporters of Fannie Mae, Obama care and they think Obama walked on water.. Which all he is is a huge socialist progressive that has impedded our freedom with the federal goverment in all avenues of life. Time for some real change my friend... |

Interesting story! We have Uverse Cable tv from AT&T. I watch national Fox News a lot. Occasionally when I switch channels and then go back to Fox, it won't come on....blank screen. I have to unplug the tv and let it go through a reboot cycle. This never happens to any other station. Only Fox News. I wondered if some of Obama's henchmen were down at the AT&T routing station playing games with the Fox channel!! As much as the Dems don't like Fox, I wouldn't doubt it.
Oh, and one last thing. Today, I officially endorsed Mitt Romney. Okay, back to Fox News.... |

No, I haven't. I know the Mittster isn't perfect (Romney-Care, et al), but, I think he will be the strongest candidate that can beat Obama....and that is by far the most important thing. |

snob, i dont know how to tell you this but, fox is known to favor the right, the right has been known to manipulate, sublimally tamper with its followers, yes like Jimmy Jones (its followers)
so what you are seeing is between each digital frame they are streaming subliminal messages through your tv, it puts you into a trance, they are hypnotizing you and you dont know it and then you come up with these crazy ideas, they make you feel like everyone else should pay taxes and that you should not be privy to inside information, they create a situation (like gas prices) they bait and switch you....I could keep going but somehow their government intelligence may stream this and i might get a knock at the door...but on the left we know to keep it under a thousand words to avoid this |

Beware those offering simple solutions to complicated problems - they are offered by those who assume you are not only ignorant of the facts in the present but are also so lazy you won't bother to check back later and see if the promised results actually occur.
They do however make great 30 second sound bites in our TV based world. |

True! But, is a 2,500 page document written by the government that even the congressmen and senators didn't and couldn't read the solution? I sure don't think so. The government has not proven that they are very capable of running anything efficiently, let alone 1/6th of our economy. The private market is the way to go...if the government would just get out of the way. Think USPS vs. FedEx and UPS. Think Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae vs. private mortgage lenders. |
