Mike I think time has moved slower for Sweet more than anyone as he started this thread way back in July of last year.

As far as time moving slowly....yes it has but it will be here before you know it. Some of the regular River Run Rats that I've talked too have been itching for this event for quite some time including myself.

I've been working some serious OT the last couple of weeks to pass the time and pay for the fuel bill for this one and the upcoming Music City Mini. Both are gonna be big time fun for all who make it. You Fla guys just need to make sure to do whatever Voodoo you do to keep the rain away that week.

I wish it was still another two months away. We have had company here for the last two weeks and we have one night to ourselves for the next two and a half weeks with more company coming and going. I've been entertaining our guests at night after work and getting up between 1 and 2AM each night to work on the boat before I go to work.
I'm wetsanding, buffing, polishing and waxing the hull. I have a small oil leak either on the RMS or the rear of the oil pan. I need to pull the motor and fix that. Then I can put everything back together and do some prop testing. It's really starting to look nice, but damn I need the SJRR so I can get some rest. I've been going on about 3 hrs sleep a night for the last two weeks and it won't be ending until I pull out of the driveway to head to the river. I have a feeling that I might even have to take a few days off to finish everything that final week.

This sucks but it's really starting to come together.
When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.

Well I did all my late night crunch time work on the boat a few weeks back ... Then left it halfway down there and went into workout mode so I can fit into my barefoot suit... I am hopeing for time to move slow as I need as many workouts as possible between here and there.   As for the boat, I am still hoping it cleans itself while sitting in nc as last time I saw it it looked like someone left it uncovered in a dirty shop 6 months after a hard summer o use, and then climbed in and out of it while covered in dirt and then drove it uncovered in the winter 700 miles.

Get some sleep Eddie --- all you gotta due is get the stern clean and use the throttle to keep the rest out of sight.

no doubt on the rain part, The main spring at silver springs is pumping out less then 50% of normal. Our main lake we ski on is lower than I have seen it in 30 years. Might want to bring those old federals.

Performing a trailer transformation. Need a good weekend to get the boat off and spray it, wire it, and check bearings.

Okay Fans, we are less than 3 weeks from this "mini" gathering and final preparations are being made as far as T-shirts, route maps for "The River Run", decals,& etc but we need to know how many REGISTERED CCFans are coming. I added the members names below so if you ain't on it and your coming then add it ASAP. It will be here before you know it. Best SJRR EVER so NOW is the time to get off the fence if you're coming. It ain't too late. 71redrocket, skibum1110, where are you guy's? Marty you gonna be able to make it?

Good day all, The misses and I will not be attending this year. Life has taken over for awhile. We will miss everyone and our campsite. Since lastyear the boat has been running like $hit. We got one good half day of use and thats all. The charging system is still not working properly and our running issue last year is still with us. The carb was completely rebuilt just after the run and its seeems to be deeper then that. Sooooo here she sits for now........oohhh if anyone would like to tear into her please be my guest. a case of beer will be waiting

Good advise Joe but I think there could be a problem. As of this weekend this is where I sit.

Lets see.... It's 20 days to SJRR. That's 480 hrs. ..........
Work- 112 hrs
Sleep- 60 hrs
Eat- 2 hrs
Drink- 20 hrs
Damn, that leaves a little under 300 hrs. to finish this bad boy.
No problem.

When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.

Joe, I know you can't wait to surf behind the SS and I didn't want you to have a lackluster experience so I installed these for you yesterday. Pair of Kicker KMT6's. I have to say I am extremely impressed with the sound quality out of these for the little money I spent on them. 150w RMS to each to rock the boat.
