Just want to confirm muffler orientation in my 80 SN before I reinstall them with the new exhaust hose. When I removed them in the fall, they were situated such that the internal baffles were located along the top. Does this sound right? Small eliptical passage front to back along the bottom?
Thanks, Noel |

I don't know for sure, but it certainly sounds right to have the baffles along the top. My logic is telling me that having the baffles along the bottom would tend to trap water, and possibly cause winterization problems?

Hahaha. That's kind of a funny view. I still say it's probably right to have the baffles towards the top.
I'm sure there are guys that know for sure. Of course, some of those same guys might tell you to get rid of them, they look kind of restrictive. |
