I have a brand new, still in box, Tachyon Motorsports Super Deluxe Boom Mount for 2.5" ring and finger ski pylon. I am a skiier, not a wakeboarder, so I decided not to use this on my 1975 skiier. Yes, this would allow you to adjust your boom up & down. It would also allow you to run a boom and an extended pylon at the same time.

I just didn't really want to pay $165. With the money I have in the extended pylon I feel like I should have bought a tower.
