HEre's our plan, looks like we're going to Powers on the saturday of Labor day weekend. Probably more hanging out than skiing, then up to Green for the rest of the weekend.
The Shelby trip is cause I really haven't done a ton of skiing this year and those photos of the course and that flat water got me going. So goof off up at Powers and get some serious skiing in at Shelby |

Awesome. So, let's set it in stone... Shelby for some serious skiing 9/23. I will probably make it a 3 day weekend because I have some PTO to burn and I need a getaway!

I like your thinking. I'm looking forward to getting on that monoski at Shelby (haven't ridden it once this season). Either weekend 16/17 or 23/24 sounds good. |

OK, I am in for Shelbyville on the 23rd. Where in the heck is Powers? I may get squirrely and do both? I am definitely a slalom/trick skier so good skiing is critical, but floating with a barley pop is enjoyable too.

Hey guys, since ya'll like road trips, how about coming to Ala. We can run until mid-end of Oct. with a wet suit. Course stays up year round and we got a couple boats available for the pulls if you have to put yours away for the winter. Ski in the morning, football and bbq in the afternoon. Just a thought..

stang, Central Ala. I live on Lay Lake. The lake is about 50 miles long and is a holding lake for the Coosa River cahin. Which means the water doesn't drop in the winter..Check it out on www.laylake.org

Just made my reservations at Eagle Creek. Very reasonable- 119.00/night and the dock is 20.00/night. I'm arriving Friday morning (9/22) and leaving Sunday! I suppose I need at least one more person to come since we need a spotter...
Here's a decent list of accomodations if anyone is coming: Shelbyville Accomodations |

I think we will be arriving Saturday morning and camping on Saturday night if the weather allows. Is there a central meeting point or just find each other. I met some people at Clinton Lake this week with a Martinique and invited them. They will hopefully be looking on the forum to get details.
How many boats will be attending as of now? |

The course goes in one of the coves near Wolf creek but I can't recall which. Can anyone familiar with the area look at my pics (earlier in the post) and identify where that is?

I think...cove 3, that is the next good sized cove if you headed toward the dam and close to wolf... Cove 5 (party cove)is close too...but back towards Findley marina.

Stang,
If you're there Friday during the day, I need to meet up with you so we have a spotter! We'd camp but my wife is a no-go with camping. |

GREAT idea!!! Let's pray for good weather. I hope we didn't use up all our "weather credits" in GL! We're owed at least one day with no wind to pay us back for Sunday at GL.
