   Ok, first time out on the water, no speedo's were not working.

Pulled both pickups and there was junk in them, so I cleaned them all up and remounted.

Got a bit of an indication from the RH, but LH is still dead.

So now I'm thinking something is clogging the tubes. Pulled the tubes and both ends and blew some air, although it was a small pump, so maybe not enough air.

Reassembled and still no speed.

Any ideas?

	try turning the calibration screws. make sure there is no leak where the tubs mount to the pitote or ad the balance tubes.

	screws turn the dials. I do get a bit of water coming from between the pitot and the tub if I rotate the pitot downward.

	doesn't sound good might be junk, have you checked the balance tube's condition?

	My 1980 Airguide manual says the lines need to be bleeded. My boat, from what I can tell, does not have the optional bleed like. So it directs you to disconnect either end of the hose after the boat is in the water. I did this and, again, got a slightly higher indication on one speedo, but not the other. I'm still at a loss, not knowing much about this system, other than knowing that there are no moving parts other than the needles. Do you think it's a bleeding issue or bad pickups?

	Take the tubes loose from each speedo, and take your pump, and pump air into them to see if the needles move.

	I'll give that a try. When I lightly put some pressure on the back of the speedo, the needles do move.

	sounds like then that the gauge maybe alright and there is a leak in a hose or balance tube or at the pitote where the hose attaches.

	I'd be interested in reading this bleeding procedure your Airguide manual refers to. If you have a chance to scan that page and post it, that'd be nice.
