Okay, time to head to church. Just cause it feels good and I feel enriched from the experience! I have a 24 year old son that sounds a lot like John B. I worry about him and how he can have those thoughts, and pray that he comes around sooner rather than later. But, to each his own I guess.

Apology accepted, and you are forgiven . Our founders said in the declaration of independence that we are endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights. They had no intention of politics being without religion. They did intend that the government not demand that we all practice a government sponsored religion. There is a big difference in those positions. As a side not , if a christian prays for you they see it as giving a gift. If there is no God as you believe, they are not hurting you in any way, just wasting their own time. If there is a living God as I believe they are not hurting you any either.

I will try to view it that way in the future.I still feel that religion is only a way to rationalize what we don't yet understand, but as you said, no harm done to me. |

Humor me a second here guys.......
I wonder how Mr. Ralph would respond to John b and his anti God BS? Do you not know ,john b, that The Maloon family do not share in your retoric.. Are you somewhat above owning a product assembled by mere children of God? Almost a contradiction ,is it not? You look like Moomba material......... Pity for you john b , not prayers |

Another example of the lack of tolerance by those who say they believe in god. Did I call your beliefs BS? Anyway, to answer your question, I really don't care if a product I like is made by Christians, Muslims, Jews, Satan worshipers, or non believers (like me and my family), Republicans, Democrats, Communists, or whatever. if I like the product, I buy it. I am not a child of god, I am a child of my parents and the biological process they started, possibly after a night of heavy drinking. I find it as insulting to be referred to as a child of god as you would to be referred to as a child of the devil. But seriously, call me anything you like, it really doesn't matter, I have been called anything you could think of in my time on the street (and usually chuckled to myself about it as I applied the handcuffs). I love your boats and really enjoyed talking CC on the phone to you a while back. One other thing we will never agree on DR, I still like the original Mustang floor pan. |

Dave, It is much the same way with my son, and it was with me at his age. Despite enjoying Sunday school he turned away in his teenage years. Some come by faith naturally and easily, others need to get God slapped up side the head when they are older. I to pray he gets there with out to much turmoil along the way. |

Thanks Billy, Yes, if Ralph was more computer literate, he would have "the big one" reading this thread. The faith has been built into every single CC since 1925. |

My son is the opposite as I feel he really is into the belief. He's 26 and the only issue is his drinking problem. It has caused him the loss of his driving privileges, jail time (mandatory in Wisconsin on the second offence) and plenty of sleepless nights for myself and my wife. He really needs that "slap on the face" from the big guy to hopefully straighten out his life. I do mention the issue every time I talk to that big guy. |

Seth It is Andrew Brightbarts last work which I am sure you will discredit, but stay tuned, it gets more interesting. It is being released by Mark Cuban. read the quote below. “Whenever we screened this, the people’s reaction was the same. They had no idea what was behind this movement,” Bannon said. “Even Mark Cuban was shocked when he saw the film.” Cuban, the software billionaire and owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, was apparently so impressed with the documentary that he signed on to handle distribution rights through Magnet, a division of his studio Magnolia Pictures. It's a departure for Cuban, who has attended Obama fundraisers and whose studio has released liberal-friendly documentaries like as “Redacted” and “Casino Jack and the United States of Money.” Should be interesting. |

American Skier material... wasn't it phospherus or something like that, who owns the American Skier site who used to sign on just to say the same stuff. John B, you should go back and read all your posts about religion and see who's not only intolerant, but disrespectful. I think you'd be stifled pretty quickly by the fans if you tried to lay that on Mr. Ralph at a reunion. Not that he couldn't handle it, but out of respect for him, no one would put up with it. That's not why we get together. |

Posted on another link as well.
Just to be clear on the subject. I believe that many churches and parishioners do wonderful and charitable work. Without churches and their programs many homeless people would have no food or place to sleep. Churches do so many good things for their communities that I won't even try to make a list. In addition, they give many members a sense of belonging and a value set that is important to them. I have no problem with the mention of god on government buildings or our currency, and I don't want to see them removed. This applies to all religions equally. I do not like to see churches become politically active and try to control government policy, be it the Catholic Church or the Nation of Islam or anyone else. I may not believe in god, but I do believe in the goodness in the hearts of many of the people who attend church. It is very hard to participate in a discussion about religion without offending someone. It is not my intent to do so. I love this site and the people on here. Please accept my apologies for anything that may have hurt your feelings. I was just trying to understand how others think about sensitive issues, while allowing them a glimpse of my beliefs. I would hope that the Maloon family would appreciate the diversity of those who enjoy their products, and the loving care and thousands of hours expended to restore and maintain them. These boats have provided many people with hours of pleasure, family time, and memories they will have for a lifetime. I will avoid the subject from now on because it has been the cause of grief among some of you, and I always remember that I am only a guest here. |

We are God's children and we are here to do his work. As 99.9% of us here our christians, we all know when God returns to get his sheep, the rest who did not follow will perish. I love being a christian. God has done so many great things for me. He saved my life in june 2012. I been fighting the worse disease known to man, and I really dont know how I am still here. The progress I have made since then it is amazing. I have blown the doctors out of the water. But the man up stairs. Read some of the bible. You will enjoy it |

Just a thought and I will leave it alone. If god is healing you why bother with doctors, and why did he let this happen to you? I am sorry that you feel you must call my family's beliefs disgusting. Regardless, my entire family extends our best wishes for your recovery. Also, I have read the bible. Enjoy? Not so much, but the stories there are interesting. The sun orbiting the earth, a boat that holds two of everything, god extending the day to allow for more killing, talking reptiles, parting the ocean.... I don't buy into any of it. |

That one is process and made my day! No matter if you are a believer or not, a sense of humor is important. I really do wish the best to everyone here regardless of their beliefs, I hope you all know that, but I may have misled some of you, unintentionally, with my posts. Regardless of whether you do it through an organized effort or individually, I believe helping others is the most satisfying thing in life. |

John,
You must be a DIG BOY. Oh my, cannot believe Lee stepped back into the fray of non-believers, and liberals. I guess he is doing gods work, but boy, he has a long road ahead of him convincing this die hard progressive. Years of Catholic school, couldn't do it. I wish I could find some literature of Correct Crafts being created by Christians for Christians. In 1925ish, wasn't it a capitol offense to not attend church? Whatever, mine was made in 1994, and I bet there were quite a few laborers who tooted coke, smoked weed, and drank like fish that assembled it. Just ask the designer who used wood on the stringers. |
