Vapor Lock 95 Ski

   I have a '95 Ski with the GT-40. I'm having an issue when I start the boat after its been sitting for abut 20-30 mins between sets.  The boat starts right up, but surges at idle for a minute or so.  Basically fluctuates from 400-1000 rpm. It helps if I rev it up in neutral for a few seconds. I've heard it's a vapor lock issue that the 95 GT-40 has, the year before they went to the FCC. Are there any fixes for the problem?  I've heard that keeping the motor box open can help, just looking for a better fix.
