I especially love the part of investing in the Chinese.

We are watching a campaign and Romney unravel.

I don't see much unraveling and we have not had a debate yet, which will not serve the long winded narcissist well. Time will tell.

For all of you that complain about Romney's tax rate. Here is an excerpt from a fox fact check on Obamas claim Romney pays less than someone making 50,000 a year. I know you will not like the source, but as soon as someone like the NYtimes actually does their do diligence I will post it.

"IRS data, though, shows that Romney's effective income tax rate -- that's what he pays as a percentage of his income once deductions and other benefits are factored in -- is actually far higher than what most Americans pay.

And it's certainly higher than what someone making $50,000 pays.

IRS data from 2010 shows someone making between $50,000 and $75,000 on average pays an effective rate of 7.8 percent. Even someone making between $100,000 and $200,000 pays a 12.1 percent rate -- also lower than Romney's."

More stellar "recovery" news today. 2nd quarter GDP revised down from a miserable 1.7% to a dismal 1.3% Durable good orders down 13% this month. But the stock and bond markets are getting a nice artificial bubble. should be fun when the bubble bursts and we get inflation all at the same time.

the debates will be the nail in Romney's coffin, if he was such a great guy and Obama was'nt doing his job....it would be a landslide.
its enevitable, we all have to pay more in taxes, including Romney.

If anything that Obama has done has not scared you to date, just wait until he doesn't need to concern himself with facing voters for a reelection.

Based on what? Obama does not do well without a teleprompter. His team is already downplaying expectations. He will have home court with the moderators, and likely have the questions in advance, But will that be enough?

Most voters are politically polarized. It does not seem to matter if Obama is doing his job (which he is not) to those that will vote for him. The debates could move some swing voters and momentum to Romney and it will not take much swing to change this race.

Have you seen the IG report on the Veterans administration 6 million dollar Orlando training conference? We do not need to raise taxes, we need to cut spending and change the government culture so those spending taxpayer dollars realize what the money means to those that it is confiscated from. Obama is not the guy to do it, he only knows how to spend. Romney on the other hand has made these changes with private organizations multiple times.

And speaking of unraveling (above), the only thing I see unraveling is the main stream media. It is unbelievable what has happened to our "unbiased, hard hitting, straight down the middle media".

They have become lap dogs for team Obama, and in fact, are acting as though they are on Obama's re-election team....which in fact they really are. I think they are trying their best to discourage conservatve voters by telling us the race is over. Not only will Obama be the undoing of the USA, but, the media will have a hand in it too.

I no longer believe or trust the media, nor do I believe the polls.

When your ideology requires you to believe that the president of the united states wants to destroy it, and that people whose prosperity is based on their integrity are lying to you and people’s whose prosperity is advanced by lying aren’t … then it may be time to reassess your world view.

Eric don’t taunt the conservatives.. These guys are having a tough time, they have to wake up every day and convince themselves they don’t think that Mitt Romney is creepy.

And just think of how hard it must be to get all indignant about a few hundred thousand dollars of waste in a training conference while being in favor of billions of dollars of subsidies to oil companies.

Have a heart!

It cracks me up how right the people at either end of the spectrum think they are. Why can't the left attack Romney on his policies? Saying the guy's creepy is hardly constructive criticizm. We have turned into a Them or Us country.

Isn't that an overly quick throw of the towel? In my head I hear you saying "sure, we'll give you more of the money we worked for so you can piss it away".

Eric, you've always talked highly of our people in the military and while we're already talking about money, somebody please tell me why some states are seeing only 1% of 08's requests for absentee ballots?

What can I say the guy is creepy, I don't know a single woman around my age that will vote for him cause they think it is plain old creepy.

As for arguing for or against his policies.. that is impossible because he has been on both sides of just about every issue. What he truly thinks is truly a guess. He claims the 47 percent of takers are Obama's supporters, but the taker states are all firmly red? His plan for the debt is to tax less and spend more on the military, Reagan tried that and the one thing it did not do was decrease the debt. His plan for the economy is to tax less and regulate less..Bush did that and got global economic meltdown. First he was going to repeal obamacare but now he is going to keep parts in place, then he was going to deport all the dreamers, but now he is going to honor Obama's visas? We don't need debates, Mitt is debating himself.

Maybe if he would form a set of beliefs beyond whatever it takes to get elected he wouldnt look so creepy when he is making an appearance. I disagree with a lot of what Ron Paul thinks, but at least the man believes what he is saying.

It is sad we don't have better choices, but its the slow recovery you know (including the first manufacturing growth in decades) vs. a guy who is going to lose badly in a state where he was the Governor, and can't wait to prove he is a man by starting a war with Iran.

That is what it is.. what I have no patience for is this constant denial of the facts and distrust of all that is not "right" media. Why do they need you to distrust the media so much if the facts are on thier side?

Romney is a master at raising revenue without raising taxes. He did so here in MA.
His plan will close alot of loopholes and eliminate many deductions.
So, if you are taking advantage of any of these, yes you may be paying more. This is especially true of millionaires which is why the rate could be lower and the revenue be higher. Combine this with cuts (at the federal level) some which may be made up at the state level, (which could raise those taxes) and we start seeing some economical progress across the country.

Obama doesn't have a plan, at least one that Harry Reid will bring to the Senate Floor!

- You must have missed the NBC news team splicing together tapes of the 911 call on the Travon Martin shooting to make it look like the guy that shot him was a racist. There's integrity for you! Fox News had to get the tapes and put it in the right context to let the people know how it really went.

- You also missed Joe "Morning Joe" Scarborough (the RINO of all RINO's) on his MSNBC on morning covering his face with his hands and saying "Oh Sweet Jesus" as he feigned embarrassment for Romney during a Romney/Ryan campaign stop when the media made it seem like Romney was trying to get the crowd to chant his name, when in fact, he was trying to get the crowd to chant Ryan's name. The crowd was already chanting "Romney, Romney, Romney". More integrity!

- All in all, all one has to do is turn on NBC/MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN, and you can see the bias in black and white. Note how they are barely even covering the fiasco unfolding before our eyes in Libya. Can't cover anything to make Obama look bad. It's not just what the media says, its also what they don't say.

Right now, I am not worried about my world view. I see how the world is going, and it ain't pretty. I am worried about the American view...for all of us, and our children's and grandchildren's sake.

I'm disappointed in you Joe; the guy is already married.

I don't see what's creepy about a guy who has lived a good life and has been successful. I see everything creepy about a guy who breaks the law(WARN) to get re-elected.

Greg, you have to give us a bit more to infer where you are going with the 1% of absentee ballots comment, for those of us that aren’t in the know.. I know why they are down in my area as our biggest base isn’t deployed at the moment as they were in 08. I know they are down in Ohio because they greatly expanded early voting for everyone, what sort of shenanigan’s are going on else where. Voter suppression on either side gets me fired up, it’s treason in my mind and if it is done with intent they should hang, and I’ll get the rope!

Joe, he's a moderate, his beliefs are subject to change and negotiation. If you want someone with firm convictions, you need either a conservative like Bush or Regan, or a liberal like Obama. If Clinto had convictions, he didn't act on them, he held his finger to the wind.

Funny how a liberal woman sees Romney as creepy, but think so favorably of Bill Clinton.

Now we're on the same page.

It's a new story I saw on TV this morning. They listed ~6 states that had massive declines in ab ballot requests. Then they had an atty on who outright said that this administration isn't doing what it's supposed to do to get this out to our heros. Apparently ~20 million should be spent accross the military to facilite voting, and it hasn't been spent/paid. It feels like a power bill that got tossed back in the mailbox. I'll take a look.
