Ok guys, I need to replace the entire glovebox on the 91 Barefoot....... There are 4 screws which look like they are holding it down and into the dash (2 on each short side of the box going into the dash). I can't imagine that is all that is holding it in..... or is it epoxied/affixed in some add'l way?

The boat is away now and I can't look under there.... but I would like to plan my attack......... Thanks for the clues!

On my 93 it is molded into the fiberglass, the only thing replaceable would be the lid.

Only four screws holding down, but $$$ for a new glove box! They are very proud of these things. I have replaced that thing more than once.

Gotcha fellas....... Only the lid, hinge, side and bottom are broken. The 4 screws and sides holding the box are perfect - Ha!

Is your box latch in the center or offset? My 86 is held in place by the flotation foam sprayed in under it when the screws are taken out. I have the center style glove box in stock and you will get a 10% discount for being here on the forum. I have an idea your box is stuck in the foam.

Brian:

What I am saying is that it is more than just a lid....kinda need it all. The hinge is a piano hinge.....

Zach:

I think you are RIGHT ON, man..... I would be surprised if only screws held it in. What did you do? Thinking I need to cut it up and peel it to the inside of the box hole from above.....

Nothing yet. Mine is all melted and terrible looking from the florida sun. I'm thinking of putting in one of our repro boxes this winter to make it pretty again. Plus I can stick the head unit in there but it will require cutting the hole bigger in the dash. New system set up too.
