To borrow a word from Ann Coulter; arguing on the Internet is like competing in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still a retard.

Brad, I think you could have chosen a better quote than that.... I have a couple of friends whose kids compete in the Special Olympics and they are the most loving kids you'd ever meet in your life. They are NOT retard's but special needs kids or mentally challenged.
Their pure innocence and loving hearts will make the toughest man cry. I do realize you said borrow a quote and surely hope you don't feel the same. |

Thanks for the concern, being more than a 4 hour drive inland we are not expecting to see anything too dangerous up in these parts but from Andy’s backyard up through Bruce’s backyard with a whole lot of fans in-between here’s to hoping this little storm loses some strength and picks up some speed and ends up being remembered as nothing more than an overreaction. As to the Benghazi nonsense the more you read the actual facts and stay away from the crazy embellishments being pushed by right wing orgs which are then “reported” by fox with words like those accusations “if they are true” would be damning … that isn’t reporting - that is repeating a partisan source’s craziosity, specifically saying you don’t know if it is true or not and calling it a conspiracy and that actual news outlets are biased because they are not parroting out such obvious self-serving bombastic nonsense without actually confirming it to be fact. The more I look at this the more I see nothing but avowed partisans abusing a national tragedy and the heroic sacrifices of 4 American heroes for their own enrichment. Calling for the public release of evidence that is being used to bring the perpetrators to justice before they can all be found and dealt with is wrong on sooo many levels I can’t believe it would need to be explained. However, that is the nature of what we are dealing with here, people so excited to use this tragedy for their political gain before an election that they do not care if it allows those who carried it out to go free. Being willing to allowing the sacrifice of these heroes to fail to be avenged and those who perpetrated it free to go out and attack our people in other areas it doesn’t sound conservative to me. It’s shameful, and the lies are shameful, and dragging out that soldier’s father in the midst of his grief and feeding him the lies they are feeding him and dragging his mind through fictional nightmare scenarios of 7 hour protracted battles, for political points is more than shameful, and if you are going to do that… you better damn well have some facts and not speculation and innuendo. May those that do it for thier own enrichment or to score silly partisan points get what is coming to them. |

Same goes for the coverup Joe, Manipulating and keeping things from the citizens just to benefit your campaign is not right and if found to be the case shouldn't go unpunished.

Tim, My comment was tasteless, vulgar, and insensitive. It's also not unlike some of the comments I've seen on this forum and from certain media personalites regarding this political debate. It was a very poor choice of words to make a point and I apologize if I offended. I do not share their opinion. |

Very true but I think in the end when it comes to Fans attacking Fans for their political beliefs the gloves turn into handshakes and words into hugs. Many of us who see each other regularly will argue and disagree on some things and agree to disagree but the friendship continues and so will the phone calls to check on each other as time passes when their paths don't cross for awhile.
Glad to hear it.... No worries mate ... we're good ! |

In
1952 President Truman established one day a year as a "NationalDay of Prayer." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In 1988 President Reagan designated the First Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In June 2007 (then) Presidential Candidate Barack Obama declared that the USA "Was no longer a Christian nation." --------------------------------------------------------------- This year President Obama canceled the 21st annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the White House under the ruse Of "not wanting to offend anyone" ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BUT... on September 25, 2009 from 4 AM until 7 PM, a National Day of Prayer FOR THE MUSLIM RELIGION was Held on Capitol Hill, Beside the White House. There were over 50,000 Muslims in D.C. that day. HE PRAYS WITH THE MUSLIMS! I guess it Doesn't matter if "Christians" Are offended by this event - We obviously Don't count as "anyone" Sorry about the layout but I didn't want to retype it so I cut & pasted |

Do we have to snopes that myth for you or can you do it yourself? It would be nice if you would edit your previous post to remove the offending lies when you are done.

That's kinda funny. I have heard many people say that, and not with bad intentions or out of ignorance. Let's concentrate on the "indivisible" part. I think we can all agree on that. |

Snopes has been proven to be democrat baiased and proven to be inaccurate. Now if you can find a reliable source to discredit it then I suggest you do so. And because Harry reid said so is not a reliable source.

Yes facts have been proven to have a non conservative bias - your post is still sloppy false propaganda that should be removed if you expect to retain any credibility - and yes I realize that credibility is not important to today's "conservatives" as long as they "win"
I am my source I was here watching - i didn't post the lies test assured if I did I would own up to my mistake and correct it, not rewrite history because it fits my predjudice |

How is that reality-distortion field working out for you man? Seriously?!? Please, for all of us but mostly for yourself think about just how desperate your argument must be if you have to immediately resort to tearing down a well-established source of credible information. As much as some of us would love to create an a priori belief-based reality for ourselves that ignores facts we choose to live in the real world (most of the time). Perhaps you would like to join us in this thing we call civilization? What I don't get is how so many grown men with jobs and obvious talent have decided to toss reason and evidence out the window when it comes to defending some comfortable but obviously erroneous belief. Just the fact that your information comes in a email should cause the bullsh#t alarm bells to go off big time. When is the last time a chain email had a shred of credibility in the real world? |

Tends on where the source comes from. If it is said to be third person then the story is just an opinion. Like cnn or msnbc reports it. If you get your facts from the actual story and is reported in first person then the facts are straight. As stated before by David and harrdock, is this information us citizens need to know. Obama and his lazy adminstration, plus stupid took way to long to let the people know. And not only that, threw Mrs Clinton under the bus. So yea, where going to give you hell and run with it cause it was wrong how it was handled. |

Unfortunately we have a president that has been trying to divide us since before he was elected. One nation indivisible, except for the one percent who have to live by separate rules???????? |

Yeah, I agree that Olbermann is just a big a left-wing shill as O'Rielly is a shill for the right. What does that have to do with anything? Let's review... Kevin, YOU posted a copy-and-pasted email (or something) with completely outrageous claims about President Obama's apparent attempts to get rid of the National Day of Prayer. Joe immediately called you out on posting lies, which is what they are. You'd know that if you bothered to be skeptical for two seconds or tried a simple internet search, or even better, a "gut check." Undeterred by evidence that doesn't support your preconceived notions you then doubled-down and said that Snopes (did you even bother to read what they had to say about it?) was "democrat biased and inaccurate." Joe again pointed out that the facts are not on your side and asked you to change your lying post to regain credibility. I then told you that in fact Snopes is considered a reliable and credible internet source. You don't have to take my word for it, do some research (for a change). I, like Joe, questioned your ability to decipher obvious biased falsehoods from reality. Lee (jumping into the fray) then goes on to say that "Tends [sic] on where the source comes from", and that "if it is third person the story is just opinion." Very interesting... By that logic, unless Obama or someone with at the most secondhand knowledge of the facts sent that email to Kevin then his cut-and-paste post is nothing more than a story. Indeed unbiased internet sources support your logic but, of course, not your conclusions. Suddenly Lee references Mrs. Clinton. Unless she is also part of "Operation Destroy American Christianity" I don't see how she is relevant. That makes me think that you've forgotten where this all started; e.g. the National Day of Prayer, or at least want to change the subject. Oh, wait, Secretary Clinton did have something to do with the attack on our consulate in Benghazi... Huh, I thought we were talking about Kevin's wacko post full of lies about President Obama? Are they related somehow? If you have another chain email to enlighten us all please don't hold back. Apropos of absolutely nothing Kevin throws in an image of Keith Olbermann. Does he have something to do with the Obama-led conspiracy to destroy the National Day of Prayer too? Or is this a shabby attempt to make us thing that Olbermann is part of the evidence against your email, which he of course is not. Dave then, typically avoiding the issue and being careful not to call out an "ally" on something that undermines his own cause, lobs in a random comment about the "one percent who have to live by different rules." What is most deafening is your silence on Kevin's post Dave since I've seen you call out Lee and others when they go a little overboard. That tells me that you must believe the crap about the National Day of Prayer too, or at the very least, you'd rather just forget about it. Some people on the left like Olbermann have obvious biases, as I've already said. I think that Joe, Andy, John, Jeff, and other "libs" would probably say the same thing. Olbermann was not the one with evidence against the email. In fact multiple well-regarded credible sources readily discount it but you refuse to acknowledge this in the face of overwhelming evidence against your position. If everything I just wrote doesn't make sense to you Kevin and others, well, then I guess you can go on believing whatever you like (e.g. Obama is a Muslim born in Kenya out to destroy America by bringing about a communist revolution, etc.) but don't blame myself, or Joe, or anybody else who can tell facts from falsehoods from not taking your arguments seriously anymore. Jamin out. |

Jamin, My chime in was a separate conversation with Johnb, I refrained from the national day of prayer conversation because I had nothing of worth to add. Some times it is more interesting to watch play out. Sorry , nothing was sinister on my part.
