That infant will not be handed to anyone. It will live it's short life in a a sterile incubator. They have almost no brain, and what they have is exposed and not in a skull. They normally live only a few days but sometimes live as long as a year, costing up to several ,million dollars. Would you pay the medical bill? What would those millions do for people with curable diseases? NNICU is a very difficult place to work with a very high burnout rate. There are a lot of successes for the premies, but these doctors and nurses watch many of these deformed and drug addicted infants die in great pain over a long period of time, many times enduring multiple surgeries.
I prefer adoption for any healthy baby and there is a shortage of them. That said, I still don't believe that anyone has a right to impose their beliefs on my family. This issue should be between the woman and her doctor, not the government. Get big government out of women's bodies. Sometimes I mean that literally. I know it is a difficult issue.

Its not about money here. I assume it would make no difference to you whether the life was taken before or after birth then?
