I am in the process of getting some new old stock white vdo gauges for my 91 BFN. I have found that several gauges are offered from vdo in 240-33 ohms or 10-180 ohms. I know the fuel gauge and oil presure come in different ohms - anyone know what would have been used back then- any other help with this? Thanks!

That's a good question... that I don't know the answer to.

I know that the white VDOs are no longer made, and the replacement option for many of them is Faria.

However, it looks like Nautiqueparts has a few remaining VDO oil pressure gauges and offer the Faria as well, for oil pressure (they offer Faria only for everything else it looks like):

You could ask them what OHM the VDOs are on. I suppose, that doesn't automatically mean all gauges are on the same scale, but it would get you a start.

Rod,
It's great you found the NOS set. I was going to suggest taking your old oil sender, hooking it to regulated air and a Ohm meter. Then by varying the pressure, you could see what the Ohm rage was. You could do the same for the fuel sender but not as easy to access.

BTW, chances are high that the senders are the 33-240 Ohm.
