These Morse Controls are getting kind of rare:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/160979055927?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Thinking of bidding myself, just to have it. It looks like it has a neutral safety switch as part of the control. Looks like that would unscrew though. Then, would it be just like the one's used in our boats? |

If you could pick that Mustang up for 1k it has the potential to be a nice boat. Original trailer but with possible storage issues,it's just too far away to go look at let alone drag back. 4 bangers in Mustangs or American Skiers are fun little boats.

65 4Cyl Mustang
Just because something may be rare, doesn't make it valuable, to me anyway. I'm a Mustang lover myself and I think it's cool but being rare doesn't make me want to pay more. |

The thought I'm having right now is just wrong, but is anyone here familiar with the Orange Mustang here? Only 676 miles from me. |

Very tempting, but I'm not sure how many orange boats a guy needs. It does look pretty nice and is only a short trip away. |

Although my personal preference is the pre 1971 Mustang style, I would be on my way to WV right now to pick this one up had I not decided to go with the 70 I bought. I love that boat! The orange screams 1972 as loudly as avocado does 1975! That looks like very nice boat. I hope someone here buys it. |

For ebay, it doesn't get too much more convenient than that, Joe. What's it going in, or is it just a spare to have around, "just in case?"

I already bought that engine! Apparently Tom forgot about it and I should go pick it up. Just talked to him and he says he is going to pull it this afternoon!

The auction clearly states Angola Indiana and the boat has MIchigan registration.

In the last picture on that ebay auction for the red '89, they show the trailer with a Silver Nautique on it. Pretty neat, but they state in the auction it is on the trailer for some "body work"? Hope they're not butchering that thing with bondo and paint....

Better ask Roger what 260 correlates to. That's Ebay-UK...and they use a basket instead of a cart. They won't get you some wheels for Ebay-UK?!!? |

I don't think it says location anywhere in the listing, but 260 comes up as northern Indiana. I agree, what a great buy for a college kid or someone just getting into skiing. |

The picture and the trap belong to the previous owner. I bought the boat in Indiana, which I believe is known for the very large rodent, the Capybera....although I could be confusing Indiana with Brazil
Seriously, I don't know what the trap was for?? |

It has a MSS serial number Bruce,174 boats before mine. It must be one of those that falls thru the cracks,it's got the small one diameter pylon not the steped one, gauges in the console make it a 68 but it does not have the turnpike wheel of a 68,it has the style of the 69's,gear shift in the dash with a foot pedal, could it have been converted like most have? Seems ashame to go thru all that work for paint and then to bottom paint it too,but since they chose to paint you can't leave it in the water so you would have to.

It is a pretty boat though and they did match the color to mahogany pretty well, even the faded bottom paint. It's an SS, but has the dash shifter, so I would guess it was converted to an SS?

Peter, Look up the word "restoration". I totally agree with Tim! You do NOT restore a glass hull with paint. Did you even notice the bottom paint?? |
