All the brilliant ones are also eccentric. I'm sure he sleeps in his shop too. Like some kind of freakin' Einstein.

That is awesome Roger!!!!!
When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.

at first i thought he was wearing the old "red laced hiking boots" that i had in 7th grade.

love the idea for drying "wood" as seen in the aluminum foil apron picture. be careful that does not get in to far and dry itself out.

You will find Dinfords are great at killing bacteria too so rot spores will be zapped as well.

Roger,
After I restored my 48 wood lathe, I wanted to try some green wood turning as I had never done it before plus the blanks are real cheap. You rough turn, microwave and then turn again to get it round again. Well after starting one on fire, I went back to dry seasoned wood!!

Pete, Yes many of the home wood turning community dry green wood rough turnings in microwaves too....RF/MW drying has been round for years, some kiln drying ovens for timber uses it too....I’m finding the Dinford quite handy for heating wood to bend (you may need to soak some woods it’s all down to moisture content) you can move back and forth along the stack of strips heating as the heat retains longer deep inside the wood stack......Its also setting most glues real quick.
