You must have a faster hull than me... I get about 46mph at 5200rpm with the same 1442. The extra RPM I'm pulling may mean that I have a bit more hp though. I dont see an appreciable loss in speed with a footer in tow either- I get about 45mph with a footer on the boom (or longline).

What are you getting for speed while pulling a footer? If you could turn 200 or so more RPM, then that might get you a little bit more speed. (Im basing this on the fact that we have the same heads and cam, and thus, probably make peak hp around 5200rpm.)

How about 20 to 30 minutes. I was surfing youtube the other night and stumbled on a video posted by a guy I footed with up in MA a couple times. He did the Austin Barefoot Club Dam to Dam race. Its only 19 miles compared to Steve's (tullfooters) 37 miler, but still a challenge. A different year, winners did 19 miles in 22 minutes, Thats an average of 52 mph including 4 skier transitions, so they were going hotter than that. Other folks were closer to 30 minutes, but that is still avg 37 to 42 mph with transitions. My acquaintance's team didn't do so well, but their starter was strong, going over five minutes.

Great video! Man that is a long time to run that engine at WOT. WOW
I am ready to get out of the shop and on the water. Cannot wait.....one more week in the man cave and I am done. I have not skied since mid November. Have been going to the gym trying to get in shape so I can hit it hard. Have been thinking about going down to Flordia for a few days for some lessons.
Thanks.......Tom

Try it longline yet? it's alot different than on the boom...easier, the angle of the pull ASSISTS you, I think your basic is same as mine so you will want to be doing a starboard side sideslide. try it on the shoeskis first, it's one of the funnest feeling tricks to do. Just do it!

Drive over this reservoir every morning on the way to work. Looked especially inviting today. Can't wait. Won't be long now!

whoever is driving is pretty hard on the throttle, sure could be a little more gradual acceleration and still get to speed.

I knew someone was trying to impress someone...that makes total sense. "Watch the holeshot this baby has!"

You did a good job handling everything he could dish out...did you ask ..."Does it come with more horsepower? It's kinda slow"
