I was just getting ready to post my new, in-the-box, never used 500 gph automatic bilge pump made by Rule and saw this post. If you are interested, I'd be happy to offer it to you first.

It's not a big deal to install a Bilge pump. You must not place the pump in the bilge unrestrained. If it falls over it will suck air and burn out. It must be fastened down.

I had an older one that they don't make an ago switch for anymore and replaced it with and of the shelf one that was much easier to instal. Looking at it now I probably should have gone with the newer cartridge types where you can replace the motor.

You can get the bilge pump from one of our sponsors. Either Christine's or N3 Boatworks. Will run you about $70. Shouldn't be hard to install just difficult to get to. If you get it from N3, don't forget to use the CCF code for your 10% discount.

It looks like the bilge pump in my '96 SN died. It quit in the "auto" setting and doesn't turn in "manual".

Any ideas ?

How big a deal is it to replace ? Not the easiest place to get at .......
