I made an offer on that Freeport that was on ebay, contingent on affordable shipping costs, from Utah to Ohio. I got a quote from that vehicle shipping co.on ebay for $4000.00. Definitely not affordable! Anyone have any thoughts, or experiance on this matter?

take the week end off, grap a buddy and meet the guy one state over and get-to driven scott.
Another option is finding a trucker with a low boy trailer and have them back hual it. They have already made their cash getting to Utah and it's pocket change for the back hual. |

Google "Shipping Boats".
There is an online service that will take bids on your request for shipping. You can shop it that way. Had my sailboat delivered to my front door, New England to SC about 1400 miles $1100. All types of services available. Reliable insured and so forth. If not, maybe you could work out a relay run with members here...... Worst case do like 79 mentioned... Road trip! d |

I live in oregon and bought my 79 tique in Michigan. Had a few quotes that came in looking promising but in the end nothing came through. Cheapest I found was $2200 to SanFransico, no deal. I drove to Kalamazoo and back to Oregon in four days. With my 97 Dodge Diesel Pickup it was around $950 in fuel. We love the boat well worth the trip.

I like Chuch's and PLBC's idea. A road trip where we just stay at fellow C/CFAN guys homes. The door is always open here in Central Florida and the refrig in the garage is always full and cold. Best time for you Northern guys to visit; all winter, we don't put the boats away.

I slept 4-6 hours every night. Picked up a nice hitch hiker on the way back in Iowa. He kept the music changed up and carried great conversation when the dark hours came on he stayed on until Ogden Utah. The boat trailed great at 75mph and only dropped my fuel milage by one mpg. The trip has ended being one of many fond memories of the boat. Many more comming I'm sure.
