Well, the thing that really makes the spark plug wires marine is their length. Takes longer wires to get around marine exhaust manifolds typically.

I think the plug wires are standard, but I am not sure if they are "marine" or not.

I got some NAPA plug wires for a 80's F150 & they were a bit too long. I trimmed several wires back & they work great.

You can use whatever wires you like, but do NOT use an automotive cap! Automotive caps have vent holes. Marine caps do not. Your marine distributor should have a spark arresting screen which allows the unit to breath, instead.

My '79 has a presto lite distributor. The cap/rotor kit that I used was a "marine" setup from the local shop. It wasn't very well made and was quite expensive. I ordered a cap/rotor from NAPA using a '79 International Scout II as my search since it uses the presto lite ignition. It was a heavier cap with no vents as was the rotor being heavier construction. The only difference I noted was the lack of a gasket in the kit. Gasket paper is cheap so I made my own. It runs like a top and it was a lot cheaper and easier to get since my local store stocks the parts.
