    Posted: July-22-2013 at 1:18pm
Hi - I just obtained a 89 Ski Nautique with no engine. I found a engine that I rebuilt and put into the boat.

My question is I am not sure how to hook up the transmission shift cable. I know it attaches to the transmission from the front to back.

1 I was wondering if anyone has a photo of how the shift cable stays in place so I can shift the boat in Fwd, N, and Reverse?

2.Is there suppose to be a bracket any photos would be appreciated?

3. Does anyone know where I can get a bracket if I need one?

Transmission specs: 1:23:1 no bracket.
note: I should mention that I am not speaking of the throttle bracket on the 351w engine. Currently I have the throttle cable attached to that bracket. Is there a way you use the throttle cable for both cables?

Thanks,
Regards!

The brackets have always been "homemade"!

I want to also note that this was taken while disassembling the engine. I've cleaned it up since taking these pictures!
