Hello all,
I'm a bit confused and just want to make sure I'm wired correctly.. I have been referring to this diagram: http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/uploads/824/enginewiring84.jpg My confusion is at the Ballast Resistor section. I have a 351 with an electronic ignition (flamethrower II) and a voltage regulator in place of the ballast resistor shown in the diagram. I currently have the red, green, and, purple wire going to their respective contacts on the voltage regulator. From this diagram, am I supposed to remove the voltage regulator and just splice the red green and purple together or, is what I have correct? |

Ballast resistor if for the ignition, the voltage regulator is for the alternator. 2 different systems so you shouldn't change anything on the voltage regulator because you changed something on the ignition.
