My recently purchased 1977 Southwind 20 with PCM 351 has cable and Morse control issues. Both cables come from the front of the engine instead of the throttle cable coming from the back and lever has to move way too far for the transmission to engage. I need the correct length of each cable and a diagram of how they attach to the Morse. Also, Is Nautique Parts a good place to deal with?

Does not matter where the cables come from just as long as it works. The travel will be the same no matter how long the cable is. You'll have to look at the control to fix your problems, check it and see where the cables actually attach to the levers, furthest out holes on the control will make the travel longer etc

Sam, take some pictures so we can see what you're dealing with.
Getting the cables to work together properly can be a bit tricky. My 78 wasn't quite right until Zach and I messed with it at the GL reunion. Be patient, post some pics and I'm sure we can help you figure it out |
