Went to go for 1st ride,no start. Last ran a couple of weeks ago when on test drive. Since then N3 repaired horn and depth finder so they were under the dash. I redid all connections on battery before use. I do not have power at coil on either lead,is there a wiring diagram here anywhere? All that happens is engine turns over. No FCC on this year,do not hear anything by engine when key is turned on either. Help please

There should be a master breaker. On my 98, it was a button on the dash.
On my 2001, it's a switch in the kick plate. BKH |

Just looking at the brochure. It looks like yours probably has the buttons on the dash. From memory, I think it is the bottom one that says "power". Whichever one it is, it has be engaged.
Hope that's it. BKH |

From a phone call, Quinner broke out that special toolbox of his and after watching the DVD again him and Gary got it running.
Something to do with lube and them making the right connection. |

Please tell me you didn't swap the battery out of the boat for a old one out of a car?

Gary,
You need to go after the problem with the VOM. Hopefully you aren't trying to trouble shoot with a 50 year old Bell "point meter" !! |

Gary do you still have the large extra fuse in the battery box???
It is the switched power source for the EEC Relay and known to cause problems. There is a wiring retrofit to remove it. This relay (EEC) also sends the power to the coil not only the ECM. The relay is energised by the ignition switch it needs the ignition breaker pressed in on dash. The fuel relay is also activated by the EEC relay so the pumps will not run either. I assume you have no lanyard on the 95 SS. The GT40 manual in the reference section has all the diagrams. Page 283 |
