We found this unusual tangerine '68 Barracuda with a 352 Ford last week. It's unmolested and in pretty decent condition, although needs a good cleaning and buffing, and a little work to get it lake worthy.

Amazing how just the difference in where you take a picture how much the color changes....

Looks like regular orange in the outside pick and an almost red in the indoor pic.

Anyways, quite the awesome find!!! Is it the same color as that 72 skier that has the matching 2006 196 orange crush?

That is quite the score. What is the story behind it?

Color difference is mostly due to the lighting.

It came up on Craigs List over in VT. It was a guy's father's boat who had passed away a couple years ago. The guy sat on it for a few years, but didn't have time to fix it up, so decided to let it go.

That thing is pretty cool, its gonna look great next to the seafoam green mustang. Too bad it's going to clash terribly with the other barracuda. You better send the mahogany one down to me for storage...

The Crush is a 2009 and no, the early 70's orange is very different from Tangerine.

We thought our Skylark was red when it was oxidized. We saw the original lacquer paint cracks and saw orange below that.

That Cuda is quite the score! Bet it will scat with that 250 horse in it. Probably known around it's lake back in the day.

Can't find squat like that down here in GA. All y'all and your old CC's are making me want another one. After driving Reids hot little blue skier in CT a while back I got a little fever I can't seem to get rid of.

I am pretty sure Reid could be talked out of that skier buy the right guy for the right price, don’t see any reason why Tim Morfoot couldn’t pull that home this very weekend. Sure you would have to endure the lost puppy face he would make while you were hitching it up… but he’ll get over it when the next one happens by

Boat needs a steering cable, new or rebuilt carb, and other misc stuff that will no doubt come up. We gave it a tune up and fired it up and it runs good.

Tim, From what I've seen, NC and WI seem to have the most/best old Correct Crafts. Most of the old boats up here that we find are parts boats.

Joe, Shhhhhhhhhhhh I've already been brainstorming over that one in my head a little bit. If I'm headed to Norman this weekend I may ask him about it once I get a few beers in him.

I've been hanging round you guys too long and there's something about the Holman Moody sound that's just intoxicating.

That's a great looking boat. If the outside cleans up as good as the inside looks, it will be one sharp ride.

Bruce,

Really nice find as you do have the knack!! (and glad you have the resources to support this addiction we all have!!)

Anyway, the mantra of the (BFN) "Benjamin's Fleet of Nautiques" is being overtaken by

(BAR) "Barracudas Are Riley". or Bruce's Armada Returns!!

I'll check with Tim and Gregg, but we may have to conceded!!

Sadly, Todd

bruce, Really nice find

Todd, No way will we ever approach the numbers in the BFNs. I don't think there's enough old boats left out there even if we tried!

This is the first boat we've found without the help of CCF. All the others have come from the Diaries or with our friend's on the site help. This boat presented itself and David jumped on it. We really weren't looking for another old boat to fix up, but this one caught our eye.

Nice find Bruce.Pretty soon you will not be able to use them because your lake will be full of moored boats! Workman and I are going to have to come up with a plan if any more of you Easterners come this way poaching our game

Great find. (PS, your Dad is proud!!) Keep looking and buying because at some point you will "overload" and TR Benj will jump in. Just think of this as another Rescue that could not have gone to a better Family.

That looks like a nice boat Bruce and sons!

The Ford - rated at 250 HP is that a 4 bbl carb? When did they make the shift from 352 Interceptor to 351? Thoughts on adding power, or stock will be more than enough for you?

David, 352 was an FE block, completely different engine. It was a big block that became the 390, 427 and 428. I believe the carb is a Carter AFB. This one will be staying stock unless we can pick up a 427 somewhere.
