what was the goal there Kap? up top you called it ADV but for the life of me I can't figure out what the best case scenario was, or even what ADV stands for

All I can hear is JoeinNY's voice saying "Rule #1, try not to die"

ADV = Air Devilliers - invented by Andre Devilliers.

See below:   (3:08, 4:20)   This was early on, now he can land them backwards, but no time to find the clip.

Can we have a timeout on the ADV and have a little more information on the observer in the rear seat? She has a nice jawline and many other specs that fit my needs. Jeez, Kap. What's her story?

Sorry for the threadjack, but we haven't been properly introduced to your assistant.

Apologies in advance if she's a sister, cousin or some other relative. She's a beauty from what I can tell. Couldn't help myself.

jaja
Well some action lately but not to much video....
been working out on the surface turns on the shoes, the front to back are consistent, Im nailing almost all id say 4 out of 6, and the one i fall are due to no been able to grab the handle once i complete the turn.
Back to front still need to work on them, gotta keep feet close and not force the turn...when i focus on those 2 things, they come nicely.
Then tried a couple of turn barefoot, while I fall on them I think Im close to nailing them, al least my falls arent that bad...
I also did a succesfull back toe hold start...
yeah! happy xmas to yall!

That's good kap, on the back to front try to stay backwards after you release one hand just freeze solid and you will snap to the front. Don't turn. Let the snap come.
On the front to back you are right on it...you have to get that handle...usually means not making 180...only turning 170...gotta go 100% effort/commitment every time while learning it. This stuff is not easy but it is fun. Keep up the good work. I have a ton of Footin video editing now coming soon to a tube near you.

When it gets to where you need what looks like a deep sea fishing trawler to do the tricks, I start losing interest in the barefooting quickly. I get it, but yet I just don't get it.

First run of the season was pretty short, but then I got my legs under me. But I can't win. The lake was like a mirror when I dropped the boat in, but by the time I picked up the crew and got geared up, there was some deck boat pulling around wakeboarders at 15 mph. Might as well have been the 4th of July.   I couldn't be too upset tho, they were just out for their New Years Day run too and I had to respect them for having the stones to be out there. I got in a decent footing and so-so slalom run, so I can't complain too loud. That's all I needed for today.

Larry, are you footing in some sort of heater sock or shoe trainer? Curious too, what's the comfort level with your cold water gear?

Steve,
Up until just before Christmas I didn't have anything for my feet and had been pretty comfortable, just chilly feet waiting for starts, hands rarely have to go in the water, especially as aided by the drysuit flotation. For Christmas, I got thin (2-3mm?) sole-less dive booties and some similar diver gloves. They really helped. I am very warmly dressed under the dry suit, so all in all, I am pretty comfortable and don't end up the outing feeling chilled at all, not even any shivers. I had to shed the booties to use my ski, but the only time you feel the chill doing that is waiting to take off. Actually a bootied foot fit in the rear toe and the front boot helps to insolate. Air was low 50s water 48, which seemed a lot colder than the 51 it had been up to a week or so ago.

Andy
When We go out in my BFN he has the large cooler in the back with a 1/4" line feeding exhaust water from a manifold quick drain that keeps things nice and warm. I have not resorted to this level yet, when is that cool we will simply take the BFN.

That's high tech......you do have to be careful since tipping over the cooler is a possibility...been there done that.

camera doesn't always stay put...I edit like I have Oldtimers...it takes forever to edit 1080HD...I do have Oldtimers...

I'm going to try to SS switch longline when things warm up again, and I have the app to work the camera with my phone and see what it sees remotely which helps keeping subject in view!
