Duck Dynasty

Other than the Osbournes I never have watched a reality show.Got enough reality right here. A couple of years ago we downsized our cable as low as we could go,just tired of Comcast but have no other option. When we go over to Inlaws who have full cable all we seem to see is reruns of shows that we have already seen. In Florida we only have an antenna,if I'm going to watch reruns cozy,me,antenna tv is good enough

I've never watched the show either, but read his comments. I got to think it was him stating the obvious that offended A&E. I was amazed to find out that family has made $400M on their line of products.

We entered purgatory 5 years ago. Hell is the next stop and its right around the corner.

The loss of the Duck Dynasty series is heartbreaking to the 2,000,000 Syrian refugees who had planned to pass the winter watching new episodes with their families. Said one refugee "It was inspirational to watch an unfaithful alcoholic with a birds nest on his face talk about whatever it is he talks about". Parents dreams for their children were dashed when they realized that the reality TV show they believed they were entitled to once they reached the USA may never materialize. A collection plate was passed around the refugee encampment in an attempt to make the TV show stars whole again. The sentiment of the camp was expressed by one refugee who said "we have no food, heat, medical care or shelter. The only thing that was holding our family together was watching Duck Dynasty, and now we may have to watch reruns. I don't know how we will survive the winter now". Another said "Phil's wisdom will be missed around the camp. Many of us never realized that we should only park the beef bus in tuna town till he came along and educated us. Who would have thought that someone who looked like that wouldnt approve of Beastiality?" It was suggested by some that The long hair around Phil's mouth was suggestive of that part of the female anatomy he spoke so glowingly of, although some said they would prefer it if Phil's face went Brazilian. Said one fan "sometimes I notice that Phil's beard shines like a glazed donut so I know that he and the little lady have a good relationship".
It is so tragic to think that the last sliver of joy has been ripped from these refugees lives with the cancellation of Duck Dynasty. We should be proud that we have the principles and priorities here in the USA to demand justice for the biggest Ducker in his fight to spread hatred of one because of their beliefs and lifestyle.

Ok since I started this. here is my $.02. I do watch the show, find it entertaining, funny, and take it for what it is, a TV show. Now Phil Robertson who has a somewhat interesting past has been preaching or giving speeches which include his views on life, religion, morals and of course his duck calls. These are not polished or eloquent but they are his views. A&E knew of these when they hired him to do a show. It is theorized that A&E thought their audience would get a big laugh out of these backwoods redneck. What they did not expect was the following and the reasoning behind the following. That being said while Phil did not use this show to preach they also refused to be vulgar and swear and fight amongst themselves, as A&E suggested they do. This information comes from a video interview done with the family. A&E is trying to control the content of the show. A&E sent a publicist to the GQ interview as a go between and it was A&E that broke the story of these terrible things Phil said. Again this is theory but it is believed A&E did this to gain more control over the show and suspending Phil to appease their gay complaining viewers. Apparently this did not work so well for A&E and for Cracker Barrel who jumped in and pulled product. An outpouring of support through millions of nasty letters were received and they reinstated Phil before he was even off the air, and products returned to the shelves.

Whether this was the publicity stunt of the year or just some hastily made some bad decisions. The show is back and life goes on.

Whether you are a fan or not, religious or not, gay accepting or not it made major media coverage, took away from world and domestic problems and in itself entertaining. It most likely will turn into Millions for both A&E and the Robertson family.

Didn't he pretty much just paraphrase what the bible says with regards to homosexuality? and isn't it the gay stance that is causing the most hubbub? If so, isn't A&E taking a stance against what Christians believe to be God's word, the Bible? So the Bible is wrong and offensive? if that's what we're really talking about here, why doesn't someone just speak up and says so?

I don't get it.
A&E is paying the folks to be what they are on the show and hate it when they say exactly that in an interview???

A&E bought a duck but they wanted a turkey so they tried everything to fatten the duck up to be more like a turkey. Now they found the duck lays golden eggs and is worth more than millions of turkeys. Too bad for A&E stuck with the duck. I say to all these PC companies GO DUCK YOURSELF!

A&E was winging it and proved themselves a little duck blind. No wonder people called fowl. Now they just look daffy.
