Gotta talk to Eddie a little more this saturday while we ski..sorry guys..but it looks like my plan right now is to come up friday and enjoy the river and some evening social time. Think I am gonna head for Astor for the day on saturday to support our Brand at the show. Back to camp for saturday night. Don't have any sleeping arrangements just yet. Will probably not haul the '80 up there. Figure there will be plenty of ski rides on friday and won't need a boat on saturday. john |

Nah, air mattresses, couch, on/under the pool table, the options are endless. Hell, I might end up sleeping in my boat. I'll have to remember to bring the cover. |

Okay guys here is the latest and greatest information/updates on this years SJRR… I had a long talk with Terry Feist who is the head guy for the Sunnyland Boat show. I gave him a brief history on CCFan and River Run itself so that he knew kinda what River Run was all about for us etc. Told him that for the last 3 years we’ve had it, we coincided it with the boat show so guys could go to the show and because the weather is better for everyone in attendance.
That being said he is very excited about Correct Craft being the feature boat at this years show. THEY want to work with US, get as many CCFans at the show and are even willing to go above and beyond to get us there. He is willing to provide CCFans with a wristband to allow us to attend to whole weekend for just $5. Fri, Sat, and Sun and we can come by land or by sea. All he needs is a headcount so he knows how many of these bands to reserve for us. Because we are the featured boat and we will have many boats post 1975 that will be down for the weekend he said that he will provide an area (beach and maybe some limited dock space), lake side next to the show, erect a sign called Correct Craft Corral for those of us who choose to play for the day on Lake Dora and attend the show via boat. He will provide this for us all weekend long. It would be too difficult for us to be a part of the Fri BBQ lunch cruise but has extended a FULL invitation to ALL CCFans for the Fri night Captains meet and greet. Open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres for $15. AGAIN, all he needs is a head count. Saturday would be the same thing with the exception of the Dinner Sat Night. They ONLY have a limited amount of seating for the $40 a plate dinner and WOULD NOT have enough room to accommodate all of us so we will need to come up with a plan for Saturday night. They have asked for a 20 minute presentation on Correct Craft boats during said dinner so that probably needs to be addressed elsewhere. Those who have boats in the show may want to be at the dinner but those who DO NOT will need to look elsewhere. The masses need to speak up here and suggest an idea, be it cookout like we have traditionally done, or eat out at the few places in town. What do YOU wanna do? My thoughts are that we should at least be at the Fri night Capt’s meet and great and come by land or sea or both. I think a mass showing of boats after 75 in the CC Corral would be pretty cool and fun as well. I believe it starts at 7:00 so it may take some extra effort on our part to trailer boats to Dora and may mean pulling them out and trailering them back to Parramore’s late but then again it could be allot of fun. SJRR changes year to year so this one shouldn’t be any different than ones past. We have an idea of what's going on, what they need from us, what they will do for us but we need feedback from you. What say you? |

What exactly is part of this open bar and furthermore what prevents me from just BYOB?
I motion quinner to give the presentation, with a beer bong on his head. I think they would want to provide (boat) parking for any type of attendee... |

I personally would like to do the "bring a dish" dinner at Parramore's on Saturday night. That was one of our favorites last year and where it was really a great time to get to talk to other CCFans. It was a totally laid back atmosphere that I think everyone feels welcome at. Plus it is inexpensive and only a 50 yard walk home later after we have been drinking. (not that that ever happens)

+1 and saturday does appear to be the best day - most of the one day local attendees would be there saturday and the boat show will be doing thier own thing so... Tim/Billy Can the non boat show attendess get the space/building at Parramores on Saturday evening? Has someone already discussed that with them or do we need to get Bret on the task.. (I would volunteer but I am not even staying there). We could also move it somewhere else but for those with kids and staying at parramores it is nice to be able to fully enjoy the night. |

I thought this was a given, if we need to follow parliamentary procedure, I second the motion.
Agree as well. I'm growing more and more partial to spending Friday on Lake Dora, mostly cause I like the idea of the CC Corral...not only will it give us a designated place to set up camp and hang out, it will add to the show by saying, hey, there's some cool old CC's, but the new stuff ain't bad either. And if we all go to the Friday dinner, that makes things easier. Saturday and Sunday focus our (or at least my) fun around Parramore's and the river...shell island, silver springs, whatever. Joe (as usual) makes a good point, if we are going to have a bring what you brung dinner on Saturday we're probably going to need space for it. I also really enjoyed Mr. Ralph and the raffle and ensuing drunken merriment in the rec hall last year. I know Tim and Billy have a lot going on, so if others need to pitch in to help coordinate that kind of stuff, let us know. |

Joe, I don't think that would be a problem at all seeing as how most of us are staying there and the rest are over at the Lee St house. All we gotta do is tell Lori that "Hey, CCFans want the pavillion Saturday night. is that a problem." She knows we're coming so I don't see it being a problem. Even those that do choose to have dinner at the boat show I imagine will be back in plenty of time to have a brew or few with the CCFans who are staying/hanging at Parramores. |

On a spur of the moment, I would agree with Adam (which is pretty scary in itself). Seeing as the ACBS is really trying to welcome us with open arms, I think it only makes sense to take advantage of it and show some support. On an even better note, if you've never been boating on the Mt. Dora chain, it's pretty awesome. Believe me when I tell you that you'll be able to find enough water to do whatever your heart desires as far as watersports goes. It's huge and you'll never be able to see the whole thing in one day but it is definitely worth a trip if you've never been there. I'm also more than willing to bring a dish for saturday night. I might even be talked into frying a couple turkeys again if I can get a second fryer from somebody. The cleanup just sucks. |

Eddie, maybe you can wrestle an alligator down there in Winter Haven and bring us up some gator bites this year. Those go great in a fryer!
