What time is this BBQ on Saturday? I would love to bring some food if I am still there when the cookout begins. Maybe some of the wife's native food???

Based purely on historical information sometime around dark- dark thirty – maybe a little earlier if it’s raining – maybe a little later if it is so beautiful out that the boats don’t get to the ramp until dark.

+1

JP, the last 4 years Mr. Ralph has come to visit with us and talk about the history of the Correct Craft and he was there at 5. If you like story telling he's top notch. VERY cool to hear the stories he has if you're into history.

He will NOT be at Parramores this year but at the boat show all day Sat so we won't need to be back "home" til ????. Guess when everyone gets hungry enough we'll start grilling.

I'm only about an hour from Astor. It would be cool to see all the CCFan's in one place.

Yes things are a bit different this year, more to see and do. Quite a few CCFans have boats in the show. The land and water display now is over 20.Parramores is still the place to be, with Tavares and the Sunnyland Show added "Eye Candy".
Thanks to all that are coming and to all that have came. This year will be even better, even a bit hectic to take in all that we have to offer for this years SJRR 2014.......See ya there.. Billy/Karen

We are less than 4 weeks away from the first gathering of CCFans for 2014 and I wanted to post some info mainly for the new guys attending their first CCfan event.

You need to start planning ahead and getting necessary equipment needed for the boat that you may or may not have. We do quite a bit of rafting up on the river, in the lakes, and even in the springs. If you do not have an anchor I would suggest that you get one or even two. (one for the bow and one for the stern.) I also would suggest that you get boat bumpers of some type so when other boats tie up to you then both boats are protected from rubbing one another. I do realize that rubbing is racing but this ain't NASCAR.

Your friendly neighborhood Law Enforcement Officer aka Barney is forever present so be sure that you have enough Coast Card approved life jackets. This one is especially important as most of our boats will be full to max occupancy with fans who are boatless and boat hopping. We've had CCFans pulled over for equipment checks at SJRR so be sure that you're ready should you win the lottery.

Don't forget the 'Red Solo' cup rule as well. Don't give Barney a reason to pull you over if you're drinking a Silver Bullet while navigating the waterways. I asked Terry Feist about Barneys presence at the boat show and was told that yes. He is everywhere including the water. So here is your WARNING!

Slight change of plans for us but actually for the better, Dana can't get much more than Friday off of work so she'll be hoping a flight Friday am and flying into Orlando. She leaves Sunday night at 6 so if there's a contingent heading to the airport maybe we could work a ride out.

I'll head south and pick up my new wingman Todd Weitekamp for the drive down. Gonna leave Wednesday afternoon and do a Red Bull run down so see everyone sometime Thursday afternoon.

Of Course, If we get in while there's still daylight Thursday we'll stop by Parramores and drop it in. Otherwise it will be at the show Friday am.

I may be able to help out. I'm right near the airport and will be leaving for Tavares after my Drs appointment in the AM. I hope to be on the road no later than 11. If that fits your schedule, let me know. I'm sure we can work something out if needed.

Okay Gang we are 21 days and counting and this is a teeny tiny list of folks bringing stuff for the huge crowd eating at the campground. ANTI-UP guys.... Could use some ICE, Charcoal, cole slaw?? , chips, more desserts, stuff for the dogs and burgers. Shine for da Shot-Ski?

Phone calls from me are to begin TONIGHT as to what you are doing Fri and Sat night and how many wrist bands do you need. SUNNYLAND needs numbers so I don't wanna hear I dunno cause I told you a couple weeks ago to expect it and regarding what. If you are planning on coming to this and you ain't on the list then you'd better get adding your name. River Run Shirts will be available to purchase at the Tent so I'll probably ask you how many you are wanting and what size so Alan and Dana know what to bring.

It won't be long now!

Shirt order is already in process Tim, we upped the count from last year so there should be enough to go around but I suggest if anyone wants one get it as soon as you can, when they're gone they're gone.

As for a wrist band, Dana and I will be at the Show Friday night.
