You imply that agreeing with the consensus of opinion is somehow akin to being incorrect. Have you read the book "An Inconvenient Truth"? |

I did put the wink next to it! Just pointing out the irony. I understand the concensus is often a concensus for a reason. But I also know a snake oil salesman when I see one. I think when you look up snake oil in the dictionary Al's pic is there.

It is obvious that you don't... you pass along more verifiably wrong information on Correctcraft fan than the rest of the world combined Since I assume it is not your intention to spread information you know to be false you obviously do not know a snake oil salesmen when you see one. You are the guy running down the street yelling into the shop doors that there is a guy at the end of the block selling a miracle cure and we should hurry down before he runs out. |

Snake oil is a concern. If corn oil comes from corn what about snake oil and baby oil. BTW did you read it? |

Endured the movie. I can't say it inspired me to read the book. Does it have a different ending?
I have never eaten a crap sandwich either, and have no plans to just to see if its crap! |

Joe , I have not offered a cure for anything. I just guestioned the diagnosis. Al on the other hand ran down the street screaming death and destruction while simultaneously building an empire to profit from "stopping" it. Who is the one with the snake oil to sell?

If that is Algore's new spokesmodel for global warming, I might just be buying into the climate change religion
Wait, I think I just felt the temperature rise .0000001 of a degree and there was a bad snowstorm. Yep, I'm in!! |

Dave, she is just another model that does not represent anything you will see in your future, and the globes in your shorts heating up is not the same as "Global Warming"!

I thought I would post a little more tasteful picture of Hillary, but, I thought..."At this point, what difference DOES IT MAKE"??
But PLEASE, no more battle of the charts and graphs showing global temperature going up 2 degrees over 300 years. Don't make me put Hillary's other picture back up.:) |

Yikes!! Aahhhhh my eyes. Dave, I couldn't quote you and have that up here twice. At least they cropped out her cankles. I can tell that is not really Hilliary's body, she has never been that proud of our flag.

Jamin. I am old enough to remember that episode airing the first time. Jumping the shark can be in the eye of the beholder. I saw global warming jump the shark when they had to change the name to global climate change because the warming stopped.

47 degrees in Gainesville, FL right now at noontime....in March. This has been the coldest winter here since I can remember. Also the most winter rain we have had since I can remember. The left can keep believing what they want to, and the right can keep believing what they want to. I'm going to keep living my life just as I always have. One day at a time and to the fullest. We could all be dead tomorrow.
Can't wait to see everyone at SJRR and not talk about climate. Hopefully it will be warmer by then. |

With the weather warming up I believe these "winter boredom" threads will fade away with the snow and cold. It's all about the boats and SJRR now. I am very disappointed I can't make it.
Anyone, please feel free to use my allotment of fun and friendship there! Alan, don't forget to report back on the New GC. |

If Hillary runs for President "What difference does it make now" may just be the name of the new thread. It has the makings of being a monster! |

Here is an interesting article
Publishers withdraw more than 120 gibberish papers This raises many questions ( but no real answers for me ) about the integrity of the published peer review concept, and the financial pressure placed on academics to publish whether they having anything new to say or not. How can 120 papers of computer generated gibberish get through a peer review process, get published, and only get discovered by someone specifically looking for them? I suspect these extreme examples are a tip of an iceberg. How many more are are plagiarized or rehashed versions of other work probably produced by teaching assistants just so a professor can get an annual raise? Would such papers being produced in liberal institutions have weight when calculating a consensus from publishes and supposedly peer reviewed papers? I have new questions about the greed factor not playing a role in academic science. |

Speaking of politics, and politicians, has anybody been watching House of Cards on Netflix? Great tv series about politics and the DC life. I am now addicted.

I haven't sat and read through all this thread, so I may be posting something that was previously posted, but...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB109lhkAyk#t=76 The growth of the ice this year and the models of prediction of where we would be today versus where we actually are should at least make a reasonable person question what the man made global warming folks are trying to convince us it truth. |

The Senate Democrats held an all night session last night to have faux fillibuster on climate change. No Republicans, or the 20 Senate Democrats who are on thin ice for the mid-terms showed up.
We are $17.5 trllion in debt, the Russian bear is once again on the prowl, our miliitary is in the process of being gutted, 49 Million Americans on food stamps....and the Senate is having all nighters to discuss climate change!?!?! |

The bottom figure you posted is totally made up. Not only does it look ridiculous, there is no y-axis. All it does is feed your confirmation bias. It doesn't even agree with the top figure. Try getting your information from peer-reviewed scientific literature, not fringe internet websites. If you need help accessing the literature I am happy to help (not trying to be a ***************, just recognizing that much of the science lit is behind paywalls). I suggest that you take some time and read through the entire thread with an open mind. Any objective look at the evidence would make a "reasonable person" discard most/all of their skepticism. |

Yes, "reasonable person". That's the key Jamin. These skeptics are the same people who said every one of the alternative energy companies the government invested in went broke and laughed at my alternative energy picks for aggressive growth. They didn't buy the "we also have fewer horses and bayonets" argument either.
