Time to replace the cables on the toon.
Yamaha 90hp 2 stoke, #6 cables (10ft long) are on the boat now. It's got a stereo with a 2500 watt amp. 2 batteries a starting & a deep cycle battery.

Should I go with #4 or #2 copper cable?

Andy,
I'd go with the #4 since I'd say your loads are off the battery. Look into that wiring as well. The 2500 watt is output but what is the input amps?

Thanks Pete,
The cables from the battery to the amp are #4. I know amp wattage isn't very accurate from manufacturer to manufacturer This amp is a Power Acoustic BAMF 2500 5 channel, it has 3-30 amp fuses in it. It powers 4-6x9s and a 10in Memphis sub.

I'd go with the #2 cables. Always better to err on the larger size. Make sure you get tinned copper cables.
