Keefers, don't let the fact that you don't know anyone stop you from staying the full weekend if able. 6 years ago was my first one and I didn't know a soul other than a couple conversations on the phone and a few blogs here. We have many first time River Rats and I'd bet my bottom dollar that many will return next year. What started out as a few guys getting together to ski for a weekend has turned into one of the biggest gatherings of CCFans who attend from around the world. They are many many friends here that I have met and those who I haven't. Why just today I met Kapla( Argentina) for the first time in person as I walked acrossed the street to catch him before he boarded a flight to hook up with the guys in Orlando. Only know him from here and FB but now I know The Man. Simple as that. Grab your sweetie, grab a bag and your love of CC's and watersports will do the rest as you mingle with about 100 other guys and gals in the same......BOAT!
See ya there! |

Okay so I am waiting for the wife to get out of work and then heading to the airport. Flight gets in at 8pm, once we get our luggage, rental car and stop at the grocery store we will be on our way to Parramores, hopefully get there by 11. Can't wait! I am usually up pretty early so if anyone is planning early morning boating I'm in!

driving down in a group is definitely the way to go, that way if something happens you have 4 other people to say "we're just gonna keep moving, catch up if you can...you know where you're going right?"

I believe Morfoot mention a slalom course being set up somewhere out there. As for getting someone to give you a pull, I doubt that will be an issue.

hey everybody,we are new to this club. Joan and I are coming down to check out this event, but unfortunately we will only be able to hook up with u guys this Friday or Saturday. this is the first time we are coming to this event and we don't know a whole lot of people, but we hope to change all that when we get down there. we are from Mooresville, north Carolina. I have talked with Reid and Donald to get a little info of the trip and they told me to read these posts, so that is what i am doing.
i was hoping i could do some water skiing. it will be the first time i have ski'd this year and it would be fantastic if i could start out this year skiing in Florida. Is any group hooking up this friday or saturday to go boating and skiing on the SJRR that we can hook up with? if so, what time and where do we meet? Does anyone have a boat that could pull me skiing? Is there a ski course where u guys are at? we are leaving tomorrow (Thursday) morning. see u down there. Keefers (Keith) and Joan |

OK, for you early birds already at Parramores, (Billy?) Where's the pics?????? I'm assuming the water levels are WAY up from previous years with all the rain we have had which should make the boat ramp at Parramore's a little more manageable. Little chilly here in Gainesville this morning, 42*F right now with a high of only 62. If anyone is coming down I-75 through G'ville around lunchtime, hit me up! I'm right off the highway. There's a Winghouse full of hot U of F girls. :)

I'm sure most on here are seasoned trailer travelers. Every time I think I am I learn something new about roadside break downs. I always carry everything trailer related in my truck... Grease, bearings, pins,, packed hubs for most if not all trailers sizes, rags etc. end of last summer I was in a caravan and someone lost the entire wheel and hub assembly off a brand new axle. No problem, there's 3 of us and we have everything..... But never thought about the spindle nut and washer and 90% of the hub kits sold have everything but the spindle nut.
I just left the trailer place and bought 2 extras at $1 each. So keep that in mind. |

Ocala is hit and miss. Along 75 prob best bet but avoid the center of Ocala. Drive another :30 min south and stay in leesburg or lady lake and youre that much closer to tavares. The biggest crime there is grandpa forgets his Polydent.

Ocala is a fine area, although I've never stayed at the Comfort Suites there. I'm sure you will survive. See you Saturday.

Changing work schedule around, will be driving in the area late Friday evening. Looking to stay in the Ocala area along 75 so we could get a good start to Taveras. Is Ocala a decent area? Looking to stay at the Comfort Suites. Thanks

SJRR is on the top of my bucket list. I so wish I could come join you guys. Especially since this March has been the coldest January I can remember.
maybe if enough of you drive in circles just right you could create a "Florida vortex" for those of us stuck up here in the north. Travel safe and have fun everyone. |

The Milagro Reposado is one of my favorites. It's how tequila is supposed to taste. It has a little kick at the end to let you know who's boss. If you thought this was strong, you should try the Milagro Anejo. It finishes much smoother. Never tried Kah. Bad ass lookin' bottle though. |

Due to an unforseen RV problem, the Farmer's will unhappily not be able to attend to this year's reunion. To all those attending we wish you all the best weather and hope a great time to be had by all. We will definitely be there next year for our first reunion.

I'm keeping the bottle at the house as it's easy to lose the crystals on the skull when handling it. I'll pour some out into a flask for the trip. I haven't tried this brand yet, but I got it from a friend of mine who owns a tequila bar locally.
Hope you like it. The other bottle of Milagro was pretty strong. |

If labeling is everything then I'll have to go with this one. Can't go wrong with skulls. That bottle looks like it belongs on the front of 'The Deathmobile' from Animal House. Looks like the first round on the the shot ski is "One Tequila, Two Tequila, Three Tequila, Floor!!!" |
