I ask him if he remembered my Grandpa and he said "Of course I remember your Grandpa, Jeptha Larue Sunday. He and my Dad were partners when they started the boat company but your Grandpa decided he would rather have a paycheck every week rather than be an owner so my Dad bought him out but he kept working for the company until he retired.". Mr. Ralph went on to tell me a story that I had forgotten being told by my Mom about how Grandpa got his hand a little too close to the saw blade and it flung a couple of his fingers across Orange Ave. at the old factory! Since my Granpa passed before I was born, it was great talking to someone that knew him besides family. Thanks Mr. Ralph!

Life can take some ironic twist. My wife and I and our son make a living working with boats made by a company that my Grandpa was part of starting! We started an upholstery business 38 years ago with no conscious intentions of it morphing into a business specializing in Correct Craft boats. God works in mysterious ways!

I will see everyone this evening at Parramore's when I give out money!

George

That's a great story George! Thanks for sharing. I am sorry that I did not get to meet you but I did send TWO potential clients your way at the show? One from Wisconsin, and another from Georgia?

What a great time!! The weather was challenging, but the CCFans made the best of it! The show was also a challenge, as many had obligations there, boat and body. We went Friday, and it was impressive for Correct Craft, I understand Mr. Ralph was very Happy. I also heard that we had our boys show up {I think Hollywood was banned?) at the "Captains Dinner" with those AWESOME Correct Craft custom shirts, flip flops and shorts, verses the Chris craft elite in full dress with Blazers, slacks and ties!!
Saturday BBQ was delayed and difficult but fell together nicely. Eddie, Mr. Eddie, Backfoot took his job seriously and arrived on time to get The turkeys FRIED, ON TIME, and EXCELLENT, French Fries too, Smith girls approved. Jbear cutting carving and serving.
After a late day (due to weather) trip to the springs, Smith Family spiral ham was LATE, but made it in, thankfully, as all else was delayed.
Desserts, food, fellowship Awesome!
We took an after dinner "Gator hunt", and let Kapla, Sebastion, drive, great driver, but jinxed us on the Gators! NONE.
It was an incredible time, thanks to all! Next year, without the show responsibilities will be AMAZING!

A BIG THANK YOU to the Boat Doctor, Boat Nurse and Tim for organizing this gathering! I look forward to next year. Hopefully we will have some hot and sunny weather!! I have pictures I hope to get posted in the next couple days.

Good call Jackie, side of then road bearing replacement is no fun.

Now for a good bearing story. The trailer under the Hurricane came from trbenj but before that came from Joel(m3fan) and he installed the bearings that are in it now. That was along time ago, possibly 8 years. Since I still can't do any work with my hand injury I had my mechanic put some fresh tires on the rig and pull the bearings for a check, he said they were perfect so they just got a clean and repack and new seals, good job Joel! We did discover the wheel cylinders were blowing brake fluid everywhere so we're throwing a fresh set of brakes on it while it's apart. She'll be good to drag anywhere we want this summer and we do intend to put some miles on it.

Just getting to this now. Sweet news on the bearings. That trailer has already covered more miles than most, having originated in Phoenix AZ and making multiple trips there up to Powell and then traveling all the way to Chicago in 2002 and then to the east coast in 2005, and back and fourth from GL to CT a few times! Quite the rig, tows really nicely.

I noticed the same thing and was intending on commenting. If he keeps putting on the pounds, he'll need to go for even bigger women! He then may need to reinforce his bed!

Keith (67 Skylark) and I (65 Tournament Skier) would like to thank all you CCFan people for an absolutely great time. This SJRR was our first. Great people. Super food!!!!!!!! We had a great time.
Sunnyland show was great, even with the weather. Correct Craft should be very proud of the great display you all did.
It was difficult to decide where to be this year. Thanks Ric & Keith

I echo Kap in every way - Great time with new and old friends. The Tavares trek added a little twist but allowed me to see the woody side of this crazy passion.......

I'm a no-go for White Lake but perhaps we can do a Va/Tenn/Ohio Mini too.... Look forward to spending more time hanging with the Correct Craft Family!
